How do you stay motivated? I had my surgery 11/5 and have only lost 30#. What am i doing wrong?

No i didn't because I bruised terribly all over my belly. I had to have blood transfusions because they had trouble getting me to stop bleeding. So, in answer to your question, no. I'm glad because giving myself shots did not look fun! It's normal to be a little scared. It is a major surgery. But for me I am so grateful to have this chance to have a new life.

I went through unity point weight loss. Dr.Cahalan. Listen to your surgeon and you'll do great! I still do protein shakes twice a day. The Premier protein is what I use. It is a little cheaper through Amazon by the case. I'm told insurance will help with the cost. I'mstill trying to figure that out. Best of luck to you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I live in Des Moines and had my surgery Nov. 5th. Best thing I've ever done for myself.

I had my surgery on 11/5. I'm doing my walking laps around the house, and using my spirometer. Im going good on my water and protein. When I start to feel a little weak I have my soup. I have lost 4# of post surgery weight. It is awfully hard to get that liquid in, but i have to remember that I don't want to get dehydrated. I also fought a terrible cold during all of this. I have to remember that I'm improving every day.

I am having my surgery on the 5th. (Wed.) I am nervous as well. Trying to get all the liquids and protein down. How much time is everyone taking off work?

That's fantastic that you have so much support. I don't feel that much support would be given from my coworkers so i choose to only tell a few. I do have immense support from my sig. Other however. He will and has been there every step of the way.

I'm sure it will be soon. I started my pre surgery diet today. It is not easy.

My daughter went to school in Maryville. I'm excited too. My date is Nov. 5. It took a year to get to this point,but now it's scary.
