  1. Hi, I too am looking for a doctor in the Appleton to Milwaukee area that can do a fill for the J&J band. The Neenah doctors won't have the nurses trained in the J&J until Jan. or Feb. I wish I would have been told that this was a new band in the U.S and that fills wern't readily available. Does anyone know if there is a doctor that will do this fill? I don't want to gain back the weight I've lost. Kathy
  2. Thanks everybody! You guys all make it sound like it's definitely worth the money. I'm getting excited the closer it gets. Only days away!

  6. Hi fluffyinks, My inbox said I received a thread from you but I don't see it. I must be the only one, but I'm new to the world of computers. Please bare with me and also please respond. I'm really searching for support right now. Thanks. Love the name fluffyinks!
  7. Hi' I'm from WI and going to be banded Oct. 9th in Mexico. I know it's the right thing to do but like I've been saying I'm paying on my own which is going to be very difficult. So should I get over it and take the risk or surrender to the FAT? I also know what you mean about meds, I have fibromyalgia really bad and am hoping this will relieve some stress on the body.
  8. My insurance won't cover the surgery. It would cost me $16,000. in Wis. In Mexico it's $8,000. I wish I could have it done here though. I'm forking out what I really shouldn't be. Is the debt worth it?
  9. Hi, my name is Kathy and I'm flying to Mexico to have lap-band surgery done. My surgery date is Oct. 9th. Have most of you had this done in the states or in Mexico? I'm afraid of getting sick especially on the flight home. ( yes my daughter just posted in a differant area to show me how to do this, so bare with me) Is there anyone out there from Wisconsin? I also have severe fibromyalgia and hurt all the time so I'm scared this is going to effect me in negative ways. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Im having my surgery done in mexico on october 9th and Im flying in from Wisconsin. I've always gotten easily sick on airplanes, and am worried now because of the surgery that this will make it even worse! Has anyone else had this problem or other serious complications due to flying? Im starting to get scared!
