Hi Jacklyn, Yea I called the office myself and spoke to someone there. 16000.00 when you are a single mom on ODSP is quite a stretch. I am however working on finding a way to raise the funds. Peaches, I know that you can put on income tax but unfortunately have to come up with the funds first :0(. Apparently, a proposal for OHIP coverage was presented but turned down. I tell you the government bitches and complains that obesity is the newest epidemic but wont assist in erradicating it.

Jacklyn Dr. Mumford is an absolute sweetheart. Not to mention good looking LOL. He was my grandmothers surgeon when she had her colonoscopy. Very thorough and great bed side manner. Actually all 3 doctors in that office are wonderful.

Blessings to you Jacklyn, I have been considering the banding and also live in Mississauga. Do you have insurance coverage for the surgery or are you required to pay out of pocket. I am on disability and am at my wits end. I am looking for a way to get the surgery covered and have recently been told that there is government asst. Have you heard anything like that? Caramia
