  1. Hey guys! You all who went to work. Omg Idk how you did it. I barely have enough energy to climb my stairs! I am glad that everyone is doing so well and I'm proud of the hard work we are all putting in to make our tool effective!
  2. @@tfowler mu incisions were glued so I don't have to go have them removed I think k that's a good thing. Once I got home I was able to get more comfortable and to consume more fluids. I have do e great today. 2 bottles of premier Protein and 42 oz of peppermint tea, Water, G2, popsicle, and broth. I am no longer nauseated and for the most part controlling the pain with the oxi and Tylenol. How are you?
  3. @@Dulce_jtrivera it went a lot better than I anticipated as well. I started getting nervous and all before the surgery. I was in pain and nauseated when I woke but overall once I got all that under control I was ok. Once I got home it got better as far as intake. Good luck
  4. Hello! I hope you all are doing well. I just got home yesterday evening. I could not get my nausea under control. Now that I am home it's easier to get my fluids in. For today I've already had a full premier Protein bottle and about 26 oz of water/juice. I am feeling ok as long as I stay ahead of the pain. @@tfowler glad your surgery went well. How are you now?
  5. I am scheduled for my sleeve on 7/21 looking for a few support buddies. I just purchased the last item to go into my hospital bag and now I'm really getting nervous about it all. That combined with being on liquids will do a number on you mentally. Looking forward to the future!
  6. @@mikferr I am packing my bag today. I have purchased gas X strips, Vitamin c lozenges, chapstick, I'll take my regular toiletries and then a sun dress to wear home. Oh I'm also taking my heating pad and a small firm pillow, and some slippers with the slip resistance at the bottom to walk in. Oh and bc I'm first thay day I'll need to find something to keep me occupied if I'm awake! There is a forum that you can't print a "what to take to the hospital" list off of that was very helpful to me. Good luck all its not far now!
  7. @@wwiggins I just got a call to be there at :530 too! Omg this is so real! I have so much I need to do today. I haven't even packed my bag yet!
  8. So apparently I thought being there at 645 made me first. I just got another call and now I have to be there at 5:30 am. Wow! Ok this is all getting so real and I have to clean and pack my bag.
  9. @@tfowler all in time we will all be having great fun shedding the pounds!
  10. I just got the call and I have to be there at 6:45 Monday morning. The surgery should start at 8:45. I am the first one scheduled! Aaahhh! Hopefully this means I'll be up and trying to walk by the afternoon. I am guessing this depends on how smooth the procedure is and how my body takes to it. Omg! I can't believe it's that time after all this preparation!

  12. @@tfowler I am a property manager and one who is ready for her 2 weeks off lol. Yes I have to have all clear liquids starting midnight Saturday up until the surgery Monday. And have to drink the cleanse on Sunday morning. Your right thinking about it that really does stink. Are you not on clear liquids?
  13. The 21st is fast approaching and I am eagerly awaiting the call from the hospital to let me know what time on Monday to be there. @@tfowler I will do my best to post as quickly as I can an update after surgery. I guess it all depends on what time the procedure actually happens. I have to say at this point I am getting a little anxious and I can't focus on anything. Today is my last day at work for 2 weeks and I can't even get my calculations together. I am definitely not looking forward to all Clear Liquids and the cleanse on Sunda. I just got used to the vanilla Protein with some chocolate oh its so good!
  14. My surgery is on Monday 7/21 as well. I also find the pre-op diet very challenging. I am trying to follow it to the T and everyday wake up with the right intentions. Today I have done really well and I usually do until I get home. Do the best you can especially since with each day that passes we get closer to the surgery date.
  15. I have sent her a message. Thanks!
  16. @@wwiggins this is awesome. a support system makes everything more enjoyable. I see that you are also in NC. I am in Morrisville and you in Mooresville how funny is that? I only had a one week required pre-op but I started last week with a shake for breakfast and lunch. This week I will be on all liquids and the brain is telling me "no".
  17. I never heard of them either. Are their flavors tasty? How many grams of protein do they have in them?
  18. @@Dulce_jtrivera what do you mix the prozein synthesis with, plain water?
  19. @@Dulce_jtrivera that uploaded list sounds great. The nut I saw only gave regular suggestions of boost and premier Protein. Not a big variety at all. @@tfowler a week seems so far but is so close. I think k I get more and more anxious every day. It's hard to concentrate on normal day to day tasks. Then I find myself wanting to eat food but knowing I shouldn't.
  20. Hello. I am scheduled to be sleeved on 7/21. Where did you get such a large variety of protein flavors? Please share. This strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla got old last week and are making it harder as I enter into this week.
  21. My name is Ivelisse. I would love to attend the support group!! I had my sleeve surgery on June 24 and live in Holly Springs. Thanks! Hello Ivelisse. My name is Tasha I live in Morrisville and am getting sleeved on July 21st. Maybe we could chat?
  22. So I was all scheduled to be sleeved on 7/14. This morning I get a call from my surgeons office telling me that they scheduled to many surgeries on 7/14 and I needed to be rescheduled to 7/21. Who picked the name that got rescheduled and why was it mine? I had already had everything straight with my job, as far as the time I am taking off and gotten the kids situated away for a few recovery days. UUUGGGHHHH!!!! Well now the issue comes in that my job is most intense at the beginning and end of the month. I would really be trying to rush my recovery to get back to work by 7/28. My husband told me to just move the time and allow my job to figure out the coverage. Makes sense but I would hate to leave them hanging. The scheduling coordinator told me that whichever date I chose she would make sure I was first on that date. I called her back and scheduled for the 21st. My boss was supportive of the change he told me not to worry and he thinks I am having my gall bladder removed bc one of my co-workers asked me why I was taking time off in front of my boss. I got uncomfortable and that was my response... I know smh!! Thanks for listening/reading!
  23. The worst thing about this was, today we went for pre op group where we all got together with nutritionist and nurse from hospital. So a man walked in they scheduled him for a gastric bypass on 7/14 my original date with MY surgeon. I was so upset. Then they said the scheduler for my doctor was not there so there was no one for e to speak to . Anyhow, I guess I will use this time to gather my thoughts and focus on pre op diet. Thanks for all the support.
  24. It's great to have an understanding boss but the real schedule still has me a bit down. Thanks for your post.
  25. Boise

    FRUSTRATED!

I am so sorry this happened to you. My surgery was delayed bc they over booked the surgeon on that day. Like you I had mad all necessary arrangements for the family. Mine was only pushed out a week but I understand your frustration. It will happen we just have to stay focused and remember the reason why we are even doing this to begin with. My fingers are crossed that the process goes quickly! Good luck
