  1. So I commented on another post about costco shake prices and here they have one on their site, lol http://www.costco.com/Betty-Lou's™-Low-Glycemic-Whey-Protein-Shake-Powder-Chocolate-%2526-Vanilla---2-Pack.product.100013267.html Thank you so much for all your help!
  2. costco does offer shipping on their site, and they have a lot more for sale online compared to inside the store. Right now they are honoring the coupon online, as well, so a 2pk of shakes is $39.99 + $6.99 shipping. Not sure how that compares to amazon. A lot of their prices include shipping, too. *I* personally think a Costco membership is worth it's weight in GOLD. My kids have some food allergies (and so do I) and they have tons of allergy friendly, organic and natural products. Also, the guy who delivers from my Costco is seriously sexy. AND he puts my order away! (my husband works there )
  3. I have some of the red can Gelatin, I remembered there was a soluble one, but I didn't realize it had that much Protein, that's great, thank you I do like the Jay Robb powder, but I was wondering what else was out there. Some different flavors, etc. whey protein is okay with me, but I'd rather not do soy if I can help it. I don't have a WF near me (it's almost an hour away) but there's a Trader Joes on my way home from work. I wonder what they have there...
  4. I know there are a million questions about Protein shakes, but I can't seem to find a good recommendation that is gluten free AND artificial sweetener free. Is Jay Robb going to be my only choice? Gluten and artificial sweeteners give me migraines (and gluten also gives me joint aches and stomach troubles). I figured when I gave up gluten I'd lose weight in general, ha! I've been off gluten since last October and the only migraines I've had was when I twice had gluten (once on purpose and once in a "green drink", stupid barley!!). Everything I've read is sugar free this and sugar free that, none of which I will be able to eat Help? I'm very early in this process, but I'm also a planner
  5. I can totally relate to pretty much your whole post. I want to rush the next few months to get to my surgery, and at the same time, reading stories like this makes me realize it's good to sit back and write it down and almost savor these moments, so I can learn from them instead of forgetting them. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
  6. I would encourage you to find a support group in your area, and I don't even mean one with relation to the VSG (although that's not a bad idea, too), but I mean a group like Celebrate Recovery group. I would like to encourage you to read about what codependency is, and read the book Why Does He Do That by Lundy Bancroft. You've been on my heart all day since I read this this morning. You don't have to live this way. I'm not saying you should pack it up and leave, I'm saying you don't have to live under his abuse. I would encourage you to also call his surgeons office and give them a heads up, AND speak up during his appointment. But I know that's a lot easier said than done.
  7. I'm new, and trying to find my first step! Do I see my regular physician first? (my ins, costco Employee Aetna) doesn't require a referral, so can I just go see the bariatric surgeons office? Do I make my own nut appt first? Do I see a psych first? Ahhh! lol My BMI at my dr.'s appt on Friday (yearly appt to refill my ADD rx) was 47+, so I don't think I'll have issues getting approval? Oy. I've been researching since December and still can't figure out where to start lol
