  1. I heard that these products may not be all they are cracked up to be because of the type of protein they contain. If you look at the ingredient list, you'll see collagen as one of the first ingredients. Collagen proteins don't have all the amino acids (building blocks of protein) that your body needs. That's what my nutritionist at Brigham and Women's said at least. As always... listen to your doctor's not some random guy online!
  2. Your doctor sounds like an idiot. Only plus is that he didn't get a chance to do any real damage to you. Seek a new doctor! Best of luck and keep pushing for what is best for you.
