I'm looking for a new family doc that understands the sleeve. My current doc doesn't at all. I am having kidney issues and hes telling me I must have injured my back and to take some ibuprofen and get over it. I am also trying to see a nutritionist as I am currently 30 pounds below my goal weight and he doesnt see an issue with this. So, anyone have a fantastic family doc that they can share with me?

I have the same problem Kim.....meat is hard for me to eat. I was a vegetarian pre-op, so this is a huge overhaul for me lol. I can do chicken and turkey so far. I eat a lot (a lottttttt) of cottage cheese, its a good option once you are able to eat it (I am not sure what your surgeons eating plan is) Drinking Protein is a good way to get it in as well...I still drink a shake now and again. First time I ate cream of potato soup......yep, I thought I was going to dispense of my very soul in a toilet bowl at a mall. Lord Jesus, it was terrible.

I am 29 years old, 5'6....sleeved July 22, 2014 weighing 216 pounds (Was 230 before pre-op diet) and today (Just shy of 3 weeks out) I weigh 201 pounds. I have hit the dreaded 3 week stall, but I notice myself getting ketosis mouth, so hopefully its about to start again.

I am also from Alberta and I had my sleeve July 22 with Dr Ariel Ortiz at the OCC. My entire experience was great, I even went alone and felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.
