  1. Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone have Cigna and got covered for a revision from band to sleeve, even though my plan states weight loss surgery is only covered once per lifetime, but on the Internet it states cigna does cover revisions for certain reasons. Anyone else have a similar issue? I would really love some feed back on this. Thanks
  2. Hello everyone, I wanta start by saying I had to have my lapband removed today because I could no longer tolerate the fills, every time they put some in there I had to take it right back out do to terrible acid reflux, heartburn and being nauseated, I'm now thinking about revising to the sleeve my doc don't do the procedure at the same time so I would have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to be sleeved, now I'm hearing the people that's sleeved acid reflux is bad and that's what I suffer with the most, I weight 220 pounds started at 288 so I lost 68 pounds with the band June would have made 2 years since I was banded..I have so many missed emotions but I know I'm not going to do the gastric bypass, so any opinions on t h en sleeve would be great I have to see my doctor next week and I will talk more about it with him just wanted to hear some of you all thoughts..thanks in advance.
  3. Hi I've had the lapband for two years now, after a year I have had nothing but problems with it I can no longer get fills because it makes me so nauseated and bad heartburn. I've lost 80 pounds and since about 8 months I've had no fluid in my band I've gained 10 pounds of that back so my doctor says it needs to come out so has any one have an approval from band to sleeve with Cigna? Plus I will have to wait 6 to 8 weeks to have the sleeve done because my doctor doesn't do the revision at the same time, any thoughts would be helpful.. thanks

    Can You Really Start Over?

OMG Laura I have had the same experience as you my doc eventually said I can't tolerate the fills, so I've decided to have my band removed because I have no fluid in my band and I'm still nauseated and stuff still gets stuck, I just can't live like this any longer..I've been banded for two years did great the first year list 85 pounds gained about 12 back. I'm so disappointed in the band though..but I can't really complain it helped me get most my weight off. Good luck everyone
