  2. I was told to quit smoking. I was 3/4 of the way, almost completely quit. The day before my surgery, the nurse called and asked if I had quit. I said almost completely. She told me she would call me back. When she called back, she said the doctor had cancelled my surgery. I was devastated! I'd been working on and preparing for this day for months. All of my tests came back normal. I was indeed, ready. I'm now almost 30 days smoke free, (the requirement), but the office will not give me a definite new surgery date! I've paid all of my co-pays and done everything they've asked me to do. Every time I call them, they tell me it's up to the surgeon's schedule. Do you think this guy has an attitude toward me now? Are doctors ever like that? Please share any/all experiences any of you have on the subject.
