Curves anybody?
Lapbandfan, I am going for my trial run at curves tomorrow and I'm pretty sure I will join. I would also like to lose 10 pounds by Christmas. That would take me from 184 pounds to 174 in 6 weeks. Lets see if we can do it together.

Today I went into a craft store that I go in pretty often and one of the workers came up to me and asked if i had a sister. I looked at her sort of strange and then she said or have you lost a lot of weight. I told her I have lost 130 pounds. I also went to check out curves today I go back tomorrow for a trial run. I think I'm going to join. I can join for 2 months for $99. They do have cheaper rates but I want to make sure I'm going to like it before i commit for longer than that. I have been walking about 4-5 evenings a week but now its cold and raining and snowing so need to think of more options.

Good new and bad news I went for a bike ride yesterday. First time in I'd say 30 years. I bought a bike on the clearence rack at wal mart last week. I was able to ride for 2.5 miles and I thought I was doing pretty good. Well then it was time to stop, so I hit the brakes a little too hard and fast put my foot down to catch myself and my legs turned into rubber and me and the bike was laying along the side of the road, was a back road so my hubby is the only one that saw. So I sat there for a minute laughing at myself still not knowing why I fell off and when I went to get up my legs were still rubber and I had a really hard time walking for a while.

I bought 2 bras today got the playtex 18 hour ones paid $40.50 for 2 so I guess not too bad. I took my 9 year old daughter with me and she thought she needed a bra too. She was trying on these padded ones way bigger than her AA size. But she had fun so I let her pretend. I did buy her one at walmart a bra and panty set for $3.88 she was too happy.

Oh good we can talk about bras. I am still wearing the same bras that I had at 315 pounds. They are stretchy and didn't want to buy them for each size. So here is my problem the old ones were sort of comfortable but didnt do much as far as support. I am now having a horrible time finding one that i like that fits good. So far I have tried on 14 different bras and still didnt buy one. The only one I tried on that even felt comfortable was $32 and no way am I going to spend that. Any suggestions on a comfortable bra that gives support????? I was a 54D and I think now I'm around a 40C

I am still here. I hit onderland last week. I went for about a month and stayed the same and then last week I lost 6 pounds. I would get on the scale every morning and would be down 1 pound. I'd like that to happen for the next 50 days. I am 195 pounds now and would like to be at 175 by christmas.

Tess I have 3 kids 2 boys 19 and 24 both of them gained weight around the age of 9-15 then lost it as they got a little older. My 19 year old is obsessed about his weight if he gets 10-20 pounds overweight he starts taking diet pills against my better judgement but not much I can do about that being that he is an adult. My oldest is somewhat over weight but he also has a lot of muscle. Now for my 9 year old daughter shes about right where she should be on the weight chart but last summer we were moving and maybe changing her school and she was so stressed out about that and she lost 10% of her body weight and thats a lot when you are only 70 pounds. I took her to the doctor that summer and was pretty worried about her eating habits. She was taking tiny bites and would only eat small amounts and then after each bite washing her food down with a drink. Was really scary for me. As soon as we moved and kept her at the same school she was back to eating normal again. I really worry what will happen in her teen years. My husband is also over weight but not as much as I was. I do see how the kids has picked up our bad eating habits. Now I just don't buy the junk because I don't want the temptation. So they are now eating more healthy and I try to walk most evenings 30-45 mins at a time and my daughter loves to go with us.

Penny, I had my last fill June 12, when I first got it I was only eating about 3/4 cup of food at a time, now I'm at a cup or more for some meals. I was down one more pound this morning so that makes me at a 110 pound loss. I did lose 55 pounds before I even had surgery so the whole 110 pounds didn't happen since surgery. One week I lost 5 pounds and I loved that, then I went 3 weeks and only lost 1 pound and then I get frustrated and start to worry I won't lose any more.

Do you only want weight lost since surgery date, or should it include the post op diet weight or total weight loss if some was lost before the pre op diet?

special K good luck on losing them last 2 lousy pounds when I go down and finally reach a goal I have to get on and off the scale a few times cuz I have a hard time beliving I really did it. I got under the 300 pound weight before surgery that was a good feeling since I was over 300 pounds for 8 years. My weight has been up and down for the past 2 months. In the past 2 months I was as high as 230 and as low as 218 right now im at 220 so have 6 more to go till I reach the 100 pound loss. I was taking a Water pill with my high blood pressure pill and when the dr took me off that I gained 6 pounds in a week. Do you all feel different since you have lost? I am off all my meds , and I can now walk 2 miles and not feel like im gonna die, and I can do a few things easier such as scrub my bathroom floor easier but I basically feel the same. And I still feel huge. Some days I really don't feel like I have acomplished much at all in my weight loss.
