  1. I had my surgery 8 days ago. I had 3 days of the clear diet, followed by pureed foods for the last 5. I have about 3 more weeks of pureed foods to go. I accidentally ate a solid food once so far--I was offered a muffin and simply forgot my restrictions. It hurt terribly, but but after a few minutes of pain and choking it finally went away. I won't be making that mistake again. I know I have a long way to go before my solid food stage, but today, I can't even imagine being able to swallow solid food. Does it get easier? Does the opening ever get any bigger? Right now it feel like it's about as wide as a pencil. I really am committed to this and want to lose weight, but will I ever be able to eat a regular meal again?:help:
