  1. Hi! I am almost embarassed to say how well I am doing. I am feeling amazing. I am able to drink anything with ease, I get all my protein in and fluids. I am one week today and am on creamy soups, I went to Chilis today with co workers and ordered the Chicken Enchilada Soup, had them puree it and it was soooo good! I was able to eat maybe 1/3 c and it went down with no problems. This morning I am down a total of 16 lbs. If you are having a hard time drinking, have you tried room temp or warm liquids? Cold liquids go down a little more difficult for me. It will get better for you....and you are doing amazing with 17lbs!! Keep me updated!
  2. I was given some samples at the hospital of Bari Life supplements. Has anyone tried these? I like the fact it is just one powder you mix in water and it gives you all the vitamins you need! No swallowing multiple pills.
  3. I am 6 days post op and my Doctor told me today that I can do all the walking I can stand and to start doing light weights with my arms and legs....no abdominal stress. I am not a fan of exercise but I am motivated to do this!
  4. I went for my first post op appt today (May 1 surgery) and my Dr told me I can now have creamy soups. No lumps or bumps. This will be fore two weeks and then I can go to soft foods. I am feeling great and am down 13 lbs!! Im so happy!!!

  6. I had my surgery May 5th. I was scared and nervous but was so pleasantly surprised. It seems to have been so easy. Other than a little tenderness at the incision sites, I have had no pain, and best of all, NO HUNGER! You all will do great and I am excited for yall!
  7. am 5 days post op and am curious what is the best way to get all the vitamins in. I am ok with taking them all but am wondering what everyone prefers......Bariatric Advantage or ............
  8. I woke up today and am happy to see some of the swelling in my abdomon has gone down! I know some of you had a drain but I did not. All required liquid and protein haven't been a problem so I am thrilled!!
  9. Mine are sore but I was given a perscription cream to rub around them (I have 5). This cream even deadens my finger when I apply it! I have showered, twice, (surgery May 1). My incisions are glued and I was told it was ok to shower.

  15. I am drinking Premier Protein (30g) from Costco, pre packaged and ready to go. Also, Isopure I got from The Vitamin Shoppe. These have 40 g per bottle and they have many flavors. It takes all day to get in just the protein but I am so afraid of loosing my hair which is already thin, that I concentrate on protein before all else.
  16. I am 3 days post op and my Doc has me on 60 grams of protein along with my clear liquids.. This has really helped me with having no hunger pains. I guess each doctor is different. 18. Yes, I have the chest/upper shoulder pain.....I am told the pain is from the air/gas that was pumped in you during surgery. Mine is getting better today (day 2 post op)
  19. I was also sleeved Thursday morning! I am doing well, over did myself yesterday and felt it last night! I am swollen and sore. Hernia repair complete as well. I am finding that my protein shakes make me even more gassy! Bought some lactaid and gas x strips to hopefully get it figured out!
