When I was 16 I got on the depo-provera shot and gained 50 pounds in 2 years. I stopped taking the shot, but never stopped gaining weight. I have been heavy all my adult life. I was scheduled for LapBand surgery in 2007, but found out I was pregnant while waiting for anesthesia. When I Hit 256 I decided I had to do something and decided on gastric bypass with the help of my surgeon.
