  3. I am so excited for you. Tomorrow!!!! I pray that everything goes well. That the doctor has a steady hand and that you have a quick recovery. Good luck!
  4. I would love to have a copy. michelle.waldrep@yahoo.com.Thanks
  5. I am feeling the same way. I am on my 5th nut visit. I have to do 6 for insurance. Psychological evaluation done and cleared. I was terrified to go see him. Because everyone talked so negative about him. Once I got there. He was great and easy to talk to. It wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. I should be having my surgery in September. When I first started, it was overwelming. Kinda still is but getting better. Good luck on your journey. And don't forget to breath.
  6. I have only tried vanilla Unjury. It's pretty good. I mix mine with skim milk. I wish I could get it a little thicker. Any suggestions? I would like to try the chocolate and strawberry flavor. Are they just as good as the vanilla?
  7. Just wondering if there were anyone else on here from my area. The Northeast Georgia area.
  8. You look amazing!! I bet you feel so much better too. My surgery is in October. I pray I have weight loss like yours.
  9. Good luck tomorrow on your surgery. I will be saying a prayer for you. I will be having mine in October. I suggest you bring comfy shoes and something comfy to wear. A hairbrush, toothpaste and toothbrush.
  10. Praying the surgeon has steady hands and that you have a quick recovery. Good luck.
  11. I am also in the early stages of surgery. I just finished my 3rd nutritional visit in hopes of an October surgery date. I am slowly trying to learn to eat slower and not just scarf down my food. I am getting better. Because there is an app for that. Good luck with everything. And if you need a buddy. I will be here for you.
  12. I am choosing not to tell anyone but my husband and my children. I have told one of my close friends that I was considering it and she told me all the bad things that could happen. Like her "cousins neighbor's brother" had it and died. Or I wont be able to eat because the doctor will sew it completely up because I am an organ doner and they will need my organs. I also told my mother in law that I was thinking about it and she got mad and left the room. She told me that if I had it done that I wasn't allowed in her home anymore. So I decided to not tell anyone. When the time comes, which will be in October, I am just going to tell them that I am having gallbladder surgery. Do you think that will work? I am set on my decision on going through with the surgery. I am finally calm and relaxed about my decision and I do not need any negative thoughts running through my head. Good luck to everyone
  13. My insurance requires 6 months of weight management. I am currently on month 3. I am having a hard time too. I have been watching what I put in my mouth and practicing eating slowly and measuring everything and eating off of smaller plates. But I gained 4 lbs on my last visit. My nutritionist told me not to worry too much about it. She really didn't tell me that I had to lose weight. Does anyone know what the insurance company is looking for?
  14. You look wonderful! Beautiful
  15. Hi Nancy. It is good to talk to someone who is going through the same feelings as you. I am nervous at times and excited at other times. But mostly excited and anxious to get it done so I can start getting healthy. Message me anytime
  16. Hello everyone. My name is Michelle and this is my first post on here. I am really excited to get to meet some other people to share my thoughts as I go through this life long journey. If everything goes as planned I will be having gastric bypass surgery in October. It seems like such a long time away but I know it will be here before I know it. My surgeon is Robert Richard of Gainesville GA. I am currently going on my 3rd nutritional visit out of 6, for my insurance company. I have already seen the psychologist and he cleared me. He said I was pleasant and that I had a clear grasp of everything that was expected before and after the surgery. I am looking for a friend to talk to, someone who is maybe going through pre-op or someone who has gone through surgery who could give me some insight on what to expect. Bye for now, I can't wait to meet some wonderful people on here.
