  8. I just got sleeved on the 24th, Except for gas issues i'm ok. Getting up and moving is the biggest thing to help process out the gas. I know once I get past this gas stage all will be well!

  14. I have united health care and Empire. Through state/government work. I had no restrictions except all the regular loops to get this done Needed note of necessity from GP. Then go through all the other doctors and shrink too. I did this all in a months time. I got my Date and full ins. approval all in that time also. I started on 3/5/14, and Surgery will be 4/24/14. I had my band on 10/26/2006 Had slippage issues and finally said enough!
  15. I went through everything, My Ins. approved everything and will do it all at once on the 24th. I will be happy to have the band out and look forward to the sleeve and look forward to getting back to my weight loss I achieved in 2008. I wish you much luck golden 1984, I hope everything works out for you! My next post will be after my surgery!
  16. I would say yes to this. I am one of the ones effected by this. But its not all the bands fault either, some of it is the people doing the fills. I think the major issue with this surgery is the adjustments.
  17. Ok Now that I have a little more free time I can write more. I had my Band Surgery Oct 26, 2006 By May 2008 I lost 126lbs ( then weighed 219lbs ) Then My band was tightened to much and we were forced to take out most of the Fluid in it. That was all she wrote, over the years since I have gained a great portion of the wight back. I also have had issues with Swelling and slight band slippage also. I will be happy to have the band removed and move on with my life when I am sleeved. I will be doing this of course with a new doctor in a new office! I have looked over some posts on this site, a lot of supportive msg's here. Well I am happy to have found this site and hope if I have any questions or issues the supportive Sleever's on here will be here to help
  18. I will be having my Lap Band removed and converting to the Gastric Sleeve. I am waiting patiently for this! I am all set; Vitamins, Protein. I am not sure what to expect at first, since it is different for everyone. A friend of mine just went through this and is doing very well. Well wish me luck and I'll keep this updated!
