  3. I just posted asking for help too. I'm new and I thought I was doing great and working so hard to find the weight I'd already lost creeping back up on me! It's easy to feel discouraged when you want something so bad. I hate people asking " how much have you lost now?" And I have to say "still just 6 lbs" or worse, "Well I've gained a couple pounds". Hang in there! You aren't alone!
  4. I had my Lap-band procedure done on April 4th 2014. I lost 15 lbs on the liquid diet prior to surgery and 6 lbs in the first week and a half after. I saw my surgeon that day and he said I was doing wonderful and that normally you do not loose weight right after surgery because you are in healing mode. I was so excited to be ahead of the game. He told me that I would start weight loss mode after my first fill on April 30th. He said that between now and then I should wean myself off of the protein shakes and eat regular healthy food. High protein (60g) and low carb. I walk 3 miles a day at a brisk pace getting well over 10,000 steps according to my fitbit device. I HAVE GAINED ALL 6 lbs BACK!! Someone please tell me why!! I'm trying harder than I've ever tried on any diet and I feel like a complete failure! My biggest fear was that this surgery wouldn't work. HELP!
  5. Hi! I had my surgery on April 4th. I'm 5'3, and 41 years old. My pre-op diet starting weight was 248 and my current weight is 230. I had to do 2 weeks of slim fast before my surgery. My biggest fear is that it won't work.
