  1. Surgery Monday and find out today i developed thrush! :/
  2. I'm scheduled for the same day and on day 4 of the liquid diet, only broth protein shakes sugar free Jello and popsicles, i have been loving vegie broth and sugar free bomb pops but am constantly hungry, its to the point that I just gave up on the huger and have been ignoring it.
  3. Congrats on the surgery btw! I just added you as a friend, I saw you are a nursing student, I am a registered nurse too lol
  4. I know, they are only at a few grocery stores. I found mine at one nearby and bought three boxes of them
  5. definitely depends on your doctor, I have been noticing that with the pre-op diet as well. Some are allowed certain foods, some are pre-op diet for a few days to a few weeks, some can only have liquids and some don't have a pre-op diet at all. The variations are endless hang in there though! If you need any encouragement I am here
  6. Mine sounds awful compared to all of yours lol I can have 5 Atkins shakes a day, broth, sugar free jello and popsicles for 14 days... I am on day three and hungry I just have been taking it a day at a time, sugar free bomb pops are awesome versus the sugar free popsicles
  7. Glad to hear you are doing so well!!! It helps to know others who have had bypass are doing so well!
  8. I understand completely! I am only 26 and so I have had some people question me too
  9. Good morning Ladies!!! I am now on day three of the liquid diet and down 3 pounds already My surgery is on the 18th so I am on a long liquid schedule. I have been living off of sugar free bomb pops though Yummy! So much tastier than the regular sugar free popsicles. I do have to see my surgeon for a second pre-op visit to discuss getting my gallbladder removed with surgery and then my cardiac stress test Friday. I did find out surgery was approved in only 2 days from my insurance! So I am thrilled about that
  10. My surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am on August 18th So excited/nervous but ready to go! The pre-op time has sped past! I began with a referral in Feb 2014 and got my first visit in March 2014. I still have a HIDA scan to complete tomorrow so I can get this gallbladder out and then an unexpected stress test added to the mix on the 8th. Wish me luck nothing holds surgery up!!
  11. Hi all! I am scheduled for August 18th Time has been moving so fast now! My only hiccup so far is an abnormal EKG probably due to the phentermine I took about months ago. I have a HIDA scan tomorrow and Stress Test Aug 8th So excited for surgery, a little nervous being the patient though.
  12. Hi Kathy! I am originally from West Bend
  13. Awesome! I see you had Sr. Garza as well! How did everything go?
  14. Congrats and welcome! I have my tenative date of August 18th, my 3 month diet will be done the first week of July but my co-worker is on maternity leave until mid august and so I have to wait for her to come back.

Thank you for your feedback ladies! I have tried internet before and have met some nice guys which i wasn't attracted to and then of course the players too. I started my journey just wanting to focus on myself and getting healthier. So far I'm just chatting and haven't set any dates up. I was debating deleting the account to just focus on myself.
  17. I will have to look for it, thanks tatortot

Anyone date prior to surgery? My surgery is in August and I am itching to get back out there. If you did date prior to surgery, did you tell them right away about the surgery or wait? I have joined an online site and was debating telling them through chats so that I can weed out the one's that would be opposed.
  19. Monica I'm in Franklin and wahoo more wisconsinites
  20. Thanks guy's I just haven't seen a whole lot and was curious for support and yes trever that counts!! Molly I am near franklin outside of milwaukee, pretty close
  21. Looking to see if there is anyone out there from Wisconsin??
  22. I took it for a short period but I got headaches, heart palpitations and blurry vision from it. Even on the low dose of 15 mg. It helped me lose 25 lbs but after I stopped it due to the side-effects I put it back on and more. I also had some insomnia and was only sleeping about 4 hours a night so that wasn't healthy ether.
  23. I must have gotten lucky with the calcium flavor I chose. I have Bavarian cream from the nature's blend company, my multivitamin on the other hand I chose wrong, tastes horrible lol which one do you use?
  24. I was going to take only two but changed to three weeks since my company will allow it, it's a huge life change after surgery and so you may physically feel ok to go back after two weeks but it you can take more off to help yourself mentally with the changes do it
  25. I have picked up some baby spoons and small containers at my local dollar store the containers come in a 6 pack and they have an option for spoons as well as forks
