hi girls , i havnt been on fo over a month now and nothing has changed for me , i seem to be holding my own , not losing but not gaining ..... i rang the hospital group about a fill two weeks ago and was told they were waiting for some number that would allow them to do the fills in dublin and they were hoping to have that number in a few days , so i waited and waited and hey you guessed no call from them........ so i just rang them now and was told they are still waiting for that number , my problem is i was banded by gerome on 28/06/07 so my aftercare is rapidly running out , i said this to them and was told they are extending the aftercare by six weeks ..... so im still playing the waiting game , they will put my name on the list for belfast but couldnt give me a date for fills up there either...... i asked what happens if this is not sorted by the time the extended six weeks is up and was told they didnt know what would happen that we would have to speak to a manager regarding this.......... so we live in hope.......

hi everybody , its been so long since ive been on , welcome to all the new girls, its great to see so many new names......... i think the last time i was on and posted this tread was only on about page 30.........very quickly my story is , i was banded by acs back on 28th june 07 by gerome , my starting weight was 17stone 12pounds, at first the weight loss was very slow with little or no restriction,by christmas i was down 2stone, im not sure how much i have in my band at the moment, i had my last fill early january by dr jan, at the moment i weigh 14stone 2pounds which im delighted with but over the last few weeks im eating like a horse and was 4lb lighter, ive tried ringing the number i have to contact acs but it just keeps ringing, if any of you could pm me the correct number i would be greatfull.........

hi ladies, well holidays over and it was great. had visit with lou before i went . no fill. she thought i wasnt eating enough to lose weight. told me to up calories by 200 a day and see how i got on. well i did that over last two weeks and bingo she was right im down 7lb and one week of that was in lanzarote so im happy with that result.

Hi coco , yes its the same nurse , when i rang for the appointment they told me she was taking over from tara for a while and that she worked for them before...:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Hi allure , good to see your back again. you probably dont remember me , we met in owenstown house one day and you gave me your number so i could get on this site. It has been a great support to me. welcome on board marge ,this is a great site and the support is great while your thinking of getting banded........... it does become part of your day to day life and you learn very quickly what and how much you can eat . you need to learn how to eat slowly and chew, chew, and chew again, as if you try to swallow something thats too large it will get stuck and thats very uncomfortable.the port is not visible but you can feelit under the skin
