  1. Ok thanks!!! I also heard that.
  2. I also heard about the gas x strips from someone else. I bet it's something that may help some, not all.
  3. Oh! What Vitamins do you all plan to take? I need to get mine ASAP!! Also, anyone nervous about what to eat after surgery?
  4. Today I'm starting day 2. My surgery day is 4.15 also. There is a forum I jumped on looking for buddies near April 9th if you are interested in joining. Anyway - I'm laying here drinking my breakfast shake and am starving!!!! LOL I think it's just bc I'm used to no limits. I'm trying to keep telling myself "mind over matter" yea it ain't workin' Yesterday I ended up eating some Panera soup. I was told to start 10 days prior with the last 48 hours clear liquids (a friend of mine who had surgery a year ago told me to eat gummy bears the night before - they pass the requirements and help with nausea). I'm allowed a shake, yogurt or similar, another shake, piece of fruit, another shake, and a frozen dinner around 300 cals and a salad. Yesterday I obviously did my own thing. Problem is I've never like frozen dinners.... So I just tried to stay in the cal range. I'm also so glad to come across this app. This is really going to help!! Let's keep pushing ladies!
  5. I am doing the exact same thing. My mother (my ride), my son, and two people I know who've had the surgery are the only ones who know. I haven't even told my close friends. I don't want to hear ANYTHING. I'm already nervous so I don't need any of that in my ear nor do I want to hear "you don't need that". I'm 5'7" and 260. I'm very curvy and for the most part have a flatter stomach so I don't look "THAT" bad (as ppl say) but fact remains I am extremely overweight and with my back issues I'm just living a horrible life. I am so on board with you there. I have avoided googling any negative testimonials online, I only look up positive stuff. I've watched some YouTube journal vids too those have helped calm my fears.
  6. Hello! I'm new to this thing and will be sleeved 4.15 I am getting nervous but I am still extremely excited. I am however worried about how to make it through the pre-op diet (I start Saturday) and well frankly post-op too. I'm trying to find creative ways to get my nutrients in. What type of Vitamins are you all planning on taking? I need to get that figured out. Any good recipes you've seen so far? Best Soups to purée etc? I see ppl post about mixing cottage cheese with stuff and I'm like YUUUCCCCCCKKKK!!!! I can rock with the cottage cheese alone but not mixed with avocado or something.
