  2. I dont my pressure has always been good. HAd it checked yesterday and doc said it was perfect. She drew blood to check all my levels. She said it could be a deficiency of some kind. I will now more later today when I get the results.
  3. I am experiencing that yess. It has been scaring me alil. I have my 4 month appointment next month so I am gonna ask about it then. I also have an appointment today with my pcp so I will bringit up then. I have no idea why that happens. It is very scary how dizzy and light headed I have been getting. I will let you know what I find out.
  4. So I had my first stall this last week. I weigh in every Friday and the past 2 Fridays I have had no weight loss. I usually average about 2-3 lbs a week but this past week was nothing. I am down 64lbs since surgery and 74lbs from my highest. I was sleeved on 3/28/2014. I am very happy with my progress but looking forward to seeing 220 on the scale. Haven't seen that number on the scale since I was a sophomore in college. Hope this stall ends soon. Good luck all.
  5. GREAT I WILL GET THIS ASAP.
  6. Thank you I will definitely try these. Do you notice a change in your hair after using the product?
  7. first congrats on your loss! Check out natural notts. They are also on fb..good tips on care of natural hair. That and biotin have saved me from thinning and shedding. Good luck I will definitely check it out. I need all the help I can get. Thank you
  8. So I am 3 months out and doing ok. My weight loss has been pretty good. My highest weight was 307 lbs and my surgery weight was 297 lbs I am now 233 lbs and very happy with my progress thus far. Does any one have any suggestions on how I can thicken my hair. I had my hair twisted up for the past couple months and just recently took them out and I have noticed some thinning in the front of my hair. My nutritionist said that it will get better after a year but I cannot wait a year for my hair to thicken up. I have started biotin just wondering if there is anything else I can do. I have naturally curly hair.

  10. I had my surgery on 3/28/2014 I am 65lbs down now. My surgery weight was 297 but my highest weight was 307. Everyone loses the weight at their own pace. You cant compare your self to others. It will drive you nuts. You are doing great just keep doing what you are doing.
  11. That sounds good too. Thank you
  12. I usually throw chicken legs & thighs into a pressure cooker with some chopped red onions, tomatoes, carrots and beans - spice it up with whatever suits you or whatever you prefer. End result is soft food which goes down easily during the first few weeks post surgery. The max you can consume is about 1 handful in a bowl. I was eating out at restaurants just after a month post sleeving - you just have to be very choosy about what you easy when out - that's it! Ok that sounds good thank you.
  13. 3 months out I'm sure you can consume solid protein by now? Start with soft boiled chicken or fish and then slowly move on to other styles (grilling, etc). Eat what you like - don't go the beef way yet tho! Give that some more time... You should be gettin some protein from whole foods as they said. I have a really hard time with meat unless it's slow cooked in a crock pot and shredded. I made an awesome protein packed turkey chili last night that I'll prob eat off for several days. It sits really well with me. CAN YOU GIVE ME THE RECIPTE
  14. I did alot of walking in the beginning and I go to the gym 2 times a week now. I do alot of walking now too. Maybe You should up your activity.
  15. LOL.... You are on track - just can't lose any faster! Cheers! But what about the protein? What do you suggest i do for that?

  19. I had to have a dilation done it helped me so much. Before I had it I was unable to keep solid foods down and drinking was hard for me. After the dilation it was so much better. I am able to keep foods down as long as I take my time eating and chew very well. I have realized that I cant tolerate bread all it does is come right back up. But the Dilation works. Good luck with everything.
  20. Everyone is telling me how good I look but I still see the same fat girl. Idk if anyone else if feeling this way. I feel great but for some reason I dont see what everyone else is seeing. I know that there is a change cause i am almost 2 sizes down but I still just see the same fat girl. Is anyone else feeling this way?
  21. I have a had a big problem with family understanding what is going on. I recently went on a family trip to visit my brother and niece in Florida and of course I am limited on what I can eat. My aunt who was at the hospital with me the day of my surgery And my surgeon told her and my mom what was happening and everything. This hole trip she was continuously asking me did I eat what can I eat what you gonna eat why you not eating that is all you gonna eat? It became very annoying by the 3rd day and I started to get very frustrated. Every time she asked I explained to her again and again no I cant eat that I am fine no that is fried cant have that don't worry I am good. I just feel like this is why I didnt tell every one about my sleeve cause I just hate explaining myself and why I eat or maybe dont eat the way I do. Does anyone else have this problem and if so how do you deal with this? Cause it is really starting to get to me.

  23. Yes i am having the same issue. I had mac and cheese for the first time this weekend since surgery which use to be my fav food and it did not taste as good as it use to. It made me so sad. But it stayed down which I am happy about. I am only 7 weeks out though so maybe it will get better. I hope so.
  24. I was wearing a size 20/22 before my sleeve on 3/28/2014.Now in pants I can fit into my size 18s and some of my 16s, and in shirts I can fit into size 14/16. I have not brought anything new yet I am waiting till I have absolutely nothing in my size to do that. But I am very excited for when I am ready to do that. My best friend is a personal stylist and is so ready to take me shopping. Shopping use to be the worst thing in the world for me but I am very excited to start shopping when time comes.
  25. Great I am glad they work for you. I hope they work for me to. Going to buy mine today.
