  1. I had an endoscopy done first. I was 2 months out and I was not even able to hold a sip of water down. I was admitted to the hospital for dehydration and malnutrition and the endoscopy was done there. The GI doctor found a large marginal ulcer that I am still having problems with. It was found in November 2015 and I will have a 3rd scope in 2 months and if it is still not healed then I go back to my surgeon. This scares me because I had the sleeve to bypass revision due to reflux, so I can not go back to the sleeve. I was told they would attach my stomach to a different portion of my intestines.

    Surgery in September

I had my sleeve to bypass revision on 9/28 and was discharged on 9/30. I had to give quite a few pleases to go. He had preferred I stayed 1 more night. I had my revision due to severe acid and bile reflux and so far I have not had any problems with reflux since. I am still having some intermittent pain but nothing I can't handle. I am keeping liquids down but I am having no desire to drink at all. I am trying to force it but that is very hard for me to do. I am going to start my protein shakes tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well!!

My sleeve to bypass revision is in the morning!!! I can't believe it is finally here. I am looking forward to some relief from my acid and bile reflux. Hope everyone is doing well:-)
  4. That is great!!! I am having sleeve to bypass revision on Monday, 9/28/15. I have BBS Fed Basic insurance. Good Luck with your upcoming surgery:-) Please keep me posted! I would love to know how it goes for you. What prompted your revision? I did email Alex to ask to a sleeve revision board. It seems like there are more of us. I will keep you posted. I could really use someone to talk to through this ross. I have my husbands full support but my family is not supportive at all. I am having the revision because of very severe acid and bile reflux. Medication does not manage it. I wake up every night vomiting and choking.

I waited about a week and a half for my approval. I called the insurance and was told the day it was approved. My insurance is FEP Blue (BCBS).

My sleeve to bypass revision is scheduled for 9/28. I am so ready for it to get here but nervous as well. Friend me on Facebook as well. I would love to have some extra support. My husband is very supportive but my family, not so much. The reflux I have from the sleeve is unreal and I am so ready to be free of it!! Good luck to everyone!

    Sleeve to Bypass Revision

I had my sleeve April 17, 2014 and for the past year my reflux has grown increasingly worse. I have tried numerous medications which helped some but not near enough.do not eat for hours before bed and I also sleep with the head of the bed raised. This has not helped either. The middle of the night seems to be the absolute worse for me. I wake out of sleep coughing and chocking and ultimately vomiting. This happens nearly every night now. I went for my 1 year follow-up on Wednesday, 7/15/2015 and my surgeon has agreed that it is time to move forward with the Bypass. I am so excited and scared all at the same time. I am not very patient and I just really want to know if the insurance is going to approve it. Knowing that relief is in sight is wonderful but I am going to be so upset if it does not get approved. I have tried not to think about it but it is hard not to.
