    Any April Sleevers?

I was sleeved on 4/22. My surgeon said that I may sometimes go a week with no weight loss and then the next week lose 5 or 6lbs. He also said if I go two whole weeks with no weight lose to call him and the nut because they may need to tweak your diet.

    Any April Sleevers?

Well I'm not happy????. I'm two weeks and two days out and from May 3 to today the 13th I've gained almost 4lbs. This should not be happening.

    Any April Sleevers?

Fellow sleevers... I am soooo over this post op liquid diet. No I am not successfully getting in 64oz of liquid, but I've only once in my life ever drank 64oz of water and I had a regular sized stomach then. I am bored with liquids, there is no variety to it. I know I'm whining because I'm not even hungry I just don't want to drink any more. I've been drinking this same stuff since April 8 and I have to keep drinking it til may 6. This is toooo much I can't take it. Is everybody two week liquid post op??

    Any April Sleevers?

Are there any rules about chewing gum. I know it serves no purpose diet wise but I've always done it and now the urge to do it is back. I just want to make sure it won't like cause gas issues with swallowing to much air or something, the same question about straws?? Thx

    Any April Sleevers?

I've been able to do it.... me and my Water bottle are attached at the hip! . This great to hear. I think I just can't get past the lack of thirst or huger that I'm used to telling me to drink or eat. I keep a bottle close by I just don't want it. All that I've got in has been because I forced it and I'm still not nearly there may be 32 oz tops. But on a good note I can drink Protein shakes if I think about which I know people are having trouble with. I'm no quitter I'm gonna keep trying. Thx for giving me hope that it can in fact be done.

    Any April Sleevers?

I would like to hear from 1 person who got down 64 oz week one post op. I'm beginning to think its impossible. I don't have any problems with swallowing or pain but I still can't seem to get the liquids in. Come on sleevers give us some hope. Is there one among us who got down the 64 oz week one post op. Lol. I mean u have to actively think about drinking.

    Any April Sleevers?

I'm curious to know since my doc didn't use any. What are the drains for, how are they beneficial. Did anyone ask? Just wanted to know in case I should be suggesting docs who use them or not.

    Any April Sleevers?

I need help guys, I am not getting in the liquids. It's not because it hurts or anything, it's just that I have no desire for anything. No thirst, no hunger. I have to make a conscious effort to remember to drink. And it's the way they want me to drink. 1 ounce every 15 mins. I just can't stay with it. If I could just drink the whole four ounces and be done with it maybe it would be easier. But alas I am a rule follower who thinks the sky will fall if I don't follow to the letter. Have any of u drank four ounces at once. I was sleeved on April 22, is it too soon to try.

    Any April Sleevers?

Post op day 2: not feeling so great this morning. Didn't sleep so well last night because it was so cold in my room. Then about 4 am I had a coughing fit which put me in some pretty good pain. I think I waited to long to take the pain meds. I just feel really tired and achy and maybe it's a little because my hemoglobin dropped some overnight. Discharge got pushed back until later today to check it again. But still in good spirits.

    Any April Sleevers?

Surgery is done!!! Post op day one I feel great. Not to much gas pain so far. Swallow test done walking around. So far so good. I think the fear of the surgery and pain was sooooo much greater than the reality at least in my case. I pray things stay on this nice smooth track. Be blessed to those being sleeved today and those up coming sleevers.

    Any April Sleevers?

We'll I'm at work today anxiously awaiting the call for my surgery time for TOMORROW !!! It seemed like this would never come. I'm on the last day of my two week liquid diet and I have to say it wasn't toooo bad. I had three days where I wanted to eat something so bad, but each time it was short lived. I actually like all but one of the protein drinks I tried, so maybe that's why it was a little easier feeling to me. I'm so very excited to just get this surgery done and get started towards a new me. APRIL 22nd IS FINALLY HERE!!!

    Any April Sleevers?

Today is day 6 of my two week pre op liquid diet. I never would have thought I would have made it here on day one. All in all it hasn't been too bad. I've been out with friend and family to restaurants and haven't attacked anything yet and believe me it's not my great will power, I guess it support or Devine intervention. My surgery is April 22nd and I'm 90% excited 10 % nervous. I'm so glad I was given this site as part of my pre surgery stuff. It's wonderful to know there are people who have successfully traveled the path I'm on and can answer question. Thanks you guys rock

    April sleevers.

I was sleeved last week and it was a breeze. From the time I started this process until now seemed to really fly by. I didn't even have time to be nervous. Just relax. Get your gas-x strips ready! I'm scheduled for April 22 as well and I'm not nervous about the surgery so much as I am about this two week liquid diet I started today. Any advice or tips on how to survive this. Did u start your liquid diet?
