  1. Oh wow ! I was told to t Start protein shakes as soon as I got home. Yrs please call for permission to begin. They really make a huge difference in how you feel. Good luck and keep us posted!!
  2. It's so normal to feel tired . Your body has been through a lot of stress and now it is trying to heal. The important thing to remember is that while your body is currently in a starvation mode and as fat burns your are forming a lot of ketones which need to be flushed out with the clear fluids and you need the protein to heal . So rest up and drink up and your energy levels will return to normal soon!
  3. Hi FIFA ... I too had surgery on May 5 . Are you still on clear liquids with the exception of protein shakes? I would love to try some other type of soup besides chicken broth . Starting to crave some changes to my diet !
  4. Hi purple iris ! We have the same dates ... I believe cupcake is having her day on May 5 too ! I am having RNY too. Cookie2014
  5. Hi angel face .. I'm 59 years young and my dr asked what my weight was in high school. I told him I was usually around 130 lbs . He sails realistically you should be able to get down to 145-150 . I love that idea! I am 5'2" and currently weigh 238 and in a size 22. I would be thrilled in a size 14, I'm not at all interested in being thin just healthy! Cookie 2014
  6. Hi all it looks like cinco de mayo is a popular date

  8. hi Cupcake, sorry i have not been able to get back...my life is a little hectic right now. Yes my surgery is scheduled for May 5th as well...Getting nervous and excited. My physician has really not required that i start a special diet. I should only be watching my carbs...Which is my downfall! I will be thinking about stocking my fridge with post op supplies in a few weeks. Anyone have any good ideas on what to stock up on? Cookie
