  1. I am now two months post op, and down 45 pounds and 4 dress sizes! Not much back pain, and feeling great for the most part. The hard part for me was the lack of support from my family, but I know that this is well worth it. My advice for someone with unsupportive family is to keep in mind what brought you to make the surgery decision, and hold it in your heart.
  2. Yesterday, I got my first compliment. I was a frequent customer at Dunkin Donuts. I went in to get a cup of decaf tea, and the cashier, who knows me well, said, "Wow! You look great! Every time I see you, you are getting thinner!" EPIC SUCCESS!
  3. I have just the opposite, constipation. I just started benefiber 3 times a day. It is so bad, I am having bright red bleeding with every bowel movement. Hoping the fiber helps.
  4. I am 4 weeks post op and I too have stalled. I have actually hidden my scale at this point, so that it doesn't discourage me. From what I have read, the stall is normal. Just focus on getting all of your protein and fluids in. It will start again.
  5. I will be 4 weeks post op this Wednesday. I am on puree at this time. I have lost 19 pounds since surgery, but I am at a stand still now. Have been for a week. Is this normal or should I be doing something different?
  6. For those who use the Eat Slower app, what time interval do you set the timer to?
  7. Downloaded Eat Slower and it works! Thank you for the suggestions!
  8. Every surgeon is different. I am also on puree and I can have puree fruit and veggies as long as it isn't corn, celery or anything stringy. I can have puree chicken and tuna, mashed potatoes, puree eggs, vegetable juice, cottage cheese, milk, light Greek yogurt, puree soups, light margarine, light mayo or salad dressing, oatmeal, apple sauce, cream of wheat. Its a pretty big variety. Next appt is next Wednesday and hoping to progress to soft foods. Hope everyone is doing well.
  9. I had that problem too. I found out that I was allergic to lactose. The only shake I like is the ready to drink lean shake 25 by GNC.
  10. I have always eaten fast. I an trying to slow down, but I don't think I'm slow enough. I am in the puree stage. How long do you all wait in between each bite?
  11. Had my sleeve done on 3/12! Doing great now! I have lost 23 pounds since my surgery and 33 pounds total since I've begun my journey.
  12. I called my doc and asked for all of my prescriptions to be called in, in liquid form. Not sure if you have Walgreens, but they compounded all of my meds including the gallbladder med for me. Glad you found a multi vitamin.
  13. My surgeon said no sex for 4 weeks
  14. I personally use children's chewables, but there are also liquid multi vitamins at GNC, that you can also try. I couldnt tolerate the calcium wafers, so I found a liquid form at Walmart.
  15. Doing really well now that I have found shakes I like. Been getting in 50g of protein and 36 oz of fluid. My post op is Wednesday and I'm hoping to move on to puree.
  16. I have four days left of full liquids and I absolutely cannot wait for puree lol
  17. I just tried the Lean Shake 25 by GNC. It is really good! I bought three flavors: Banana Cream, Strawberry and chocolate. The banana is really good. Its really light unlike the thick shakes I have tried. I am going to try to get in at least 50g of protein today. Thank you everyone for your help.
  18. I couldn't tolerate the pain meds in the pump either. Once you have your swallow test, ask them for liquid oral meds. It will be so much better on the nausea. My surgery was 3/12 and I woke up saying the same thing, What did I do to myself. After being on liquid pain meds, I was good as new. I am doing really well now. Hang in there!
  19. ooo..that sounds wonderful! I am going to look for the Beneprotein! Thank you!
  20. Where do you purchase Premier at, how much do you mix with it, do you use milk or water?
  21. Oh wow, Australia! How many grams of protein and what's the serving size?
  22. I am 9 days post op! So awesome we are almost on the same track! Where did you purchase the protein?
  23. I am still in full liquids, and I am really having trouble getting protein in. All of the protein powders say to add 8-16 oz of water or milk. I can barely take in 3 oz every 2 hours. Any tips on how to get it in?
