  1. Hi! I just came back from my doctor and it was confirmed that I was too tight. The esophogram showed that my upper pouch overlapped the band. He unfilled me half and said I should let the band rest and have another esophogram in 2 weeks. Hopefully the band will reposition itself back to normal and I won't need surgery to correct the slip. Did anyone have this experience? Any one had a slight slip, and had it adjust by itself? Is it possible to keep the weight off even with an unfill? I am terrified to gain some weight back! I lost 41 lb and finally fit into a size 10!! A dream come true! Thanks again for all your advice and care.
  2. Thank you so much all of you for your helpful replies. Yes, it is true that I don't keep a lot of food down, I do best eating just Soups etc. However, I had my last fill about 5 month ago, and this problem only started a few weeks ago. I will call my doctor for an appointment, I'm just afraid do de-fill, I can't afford to gain anything back!!! I am so thrilled with my weightloss, I never want to gain weight again!! Can anyone relate to this?
  3. I was banded on October 22nd 2007, and until recently I had no complaints. I started coughing excessively at night, also vomiting liquids with a very bitter taste. Is this normal?
  4. :help: Hello! I was banded on October 22. I tried to feel my port while lying down. I checked the whole belly area, but I couldn't feel anything. My BMI is not very high, so there is not THAT much fat there. ( I have about 40 pounds lose.) I just want to be reassured that the port IS there somewhere! Thanks for any response! So happy to be banded and to start my journey! Good luck to you all!:clap2:
  5. :help: Hi. I have to lose about 40 to 50 lbs. I am 46 years old and have tried everything to lose weight. Dangerous Diet doctors (taking pills for years on and off), nutritonists, weight watchers, liquid diets, I even had liposuction done. The weight always comes back and more. My quality of life is not what it should be. Forget swimming, parties or any socializing, I am too self conscious of the extra weight I'm carrying around. This banding sounds like a dream, lose the weight and keep it off for life! I am willing to pay out of my pocket, since insurane obviously won't. Is there anyone out there who has done this surgery to lose about 50 lbs? Do you recommend it? :help: Thank you
