  2. I'm 2/18 and have found that I have to eat slowly and chew thoroughly. The worst I've had is just a bad stomach ache.
  3. Ensure Protein. I've resorted to these because I am lactose intolerant post op.
  4. I am 3 weeks out and incision hurts if I over do it.
  5. I would caution you against straws. My surgeon says no straws for 8 weeks.
  6. I just placed an order. He wanted to try Peanut Butter chocolate. I also ordered some Quest bars. If he doesn't like them, I can start eating them in a month. thanks for the tips.
  7. I asked my dh (also a bariatric patient) why the heck I did this to myself quite often the first few days. It's getting easier. I was so excited to start soft proteins! ALso, I found I was lactose intolerant after surgery. I could tolerate the Protein juices and Ensure Protein shakes. My surgeon suggested I use a Whey Isolate Protein powder and decide between Soy (which is not good for thyroid issues) or Almond. I went with Almond until my brother suggested Lactaid Milk. I now use that for the extra protein. It does get better! Good luck on your journey!
  8. I am so glad you mentioned the big incision on the left! I'm also 3 weeks out and my dh cannot believe mine still hurts. Bad sometimes! I've resorted to taking pain meds when it acts up. Walking the dog a mile today mine started to hurt!
  9. Feb 18th Just starting soft Proteins and caught a tummy bug on day 2. I think it set me back because I could only tolerate liquids for 2 days. I haven't found anything I can't eat but cottage cheese sets very hard. Loving cheese sticks!! I love Bariatric fusion Vitamins. They have everything I need in 4 chewable tablets a day. I have been walking. I walked the dog just over a mile today. I do have one incision that still hurts. Does anyone else find this? My fat jeans hang on me and I went to a smaller pair in my closet and today I noticed that they are loose!
  10. My Dh has been looking for a good Protein bar. I'm only 3 1/2 weeks post-op but he's 11 weeks.
