  1. So I am 4 days post-op. Was in some pain those first few days and had to force down those protein shakes, but I am now starting to get an appetite. Did any one else try any soups like tomato or cream of mushroom (strained of course)? Or anything before their first post-op appointment? I know I am still suppose to be on clear liquids, but can't help but want to start trying some puree's. Nothing to crazy, because I know my stomach is still healing.
  2. I am almost at the end of day 4 of my liquid diet and I had to go to urgent care bc I have a pretty severe UTI. Talk about painful and not fun at all, anyone else ran across this issue from all the protein intake?
  3. I am in the same position, I am on day 3. Day 1 wasn't so bad but days 2 and 3 have been rough! I hope it gets better soon.
  4. I guess I feel alone bc I'm the only one in my house doing this. I went to walmart, NOT a good idea! I wanted everything lol. When do the hunger pangs start to subside?
  5. My surgeon said that being on the liquid for 2 weeks shrinks your stomach and liver and that makes your surgery as safe as possible.
  6. I have heard that the first few days are the worst then they start to get better! I'm glad I have others to vent to who have been there and can offer some friendly advice.
  7. I just joined this App/Site, I figured it would be a good idea to hear others feed back while I'm going through this. Are you on a liquid diet also?
  8. My surgery is scheduled for March 13, 2014 and today is day 2 of my liquids. Yesterday wasn't too bad, today was a little rougher. Does it get easier?!?!
