Hi Mayra, I wrote a bit more about my experience on another post you sent me; but, just wanted to say here that I had VSG surgery in Tijuana with Dr. Osuna, Dr. Lopez's wife. Everything went fine, I had no pre-existing conditions or concerns (weighed 200 at 5'5"). The hospital and hotel were also problem free experiences with good hospital care. Surgery date March 11, 2014.

Does anyone know if MI Doctor Hospital in Tijuana provides underwear for patients during their stay? I have heard that it is very common to have uncontrollable liquid bowel movements for a day or so post surgery.

Is there anyone else on here scheduled for March 11 with Dr. Jacqueline Osuna? At MI Doctor Hospital and staying at Merriott.

Thank you Breathless! Hard to believe that I will be in Mexico in 10 days! I have cataract surgery on the 5th (there's no real healing time for that), also my daughters baby shower and baby dedication this weekend ... so hopefully these things will help for the time to pass.

Patsypatrice, I hope you are doing well. I am from BC, Canada, and have a home about 45 minutes from you in San Tan Valley. One day to be my winter retirement home and by then, 6 years away, I intend to be fit and healthy and active! I have done several half marathons, but, the weight comes on when I'm not in training. But not for long! My surgery date is March 11 in Tijuana.

Jc80, I hear you! I have been at this since Sunday. I am allowed to have a small piece of meat or fish, Beans, etc (protein) at night and a bit of salad, but, it sounds as though your surgeon is calling for complete liquids? Keep remembering I can do anything for one day ... and then take it one day at a time. ????

Thinking of you! So glad you have some peace now. I can totally understand! We are holistic individuals ... When one part is out of wack it impacts the whole. I am doing a bit better after finding one post on here from someone who had a positive experience with my surgeon at same hospital in Tijuana. Phew!

I hope is able to find some decent tasting high protein, Lo or no carb flavours to have following my clear liquids phase. Is it possible to add any of this protein powder to water, even on clear liquids phase, post op?

I'm the 11th too! I'm having a band to sleeve revision. I'm overwhelmed too. I've been making a list on essentials we will need and buying them here and there. My surgery date is March 11th, Dr. Osuna, at MI Hospital, Tijuana, through Mexico Bariatric Center. Anyone with a similar details taking place? Or as happened previously?
