Good luck!!! It was the best decision for me. I was a 2 liter a day of Pepsi max..I didn't think I could do it but trully I don't miss it at all. I do have diet cordial. I had my surgery 2 1/2 months ago.. So many things better now. I wish you the best and can't wait to hear your journey xx

Hi everyone, I have read all the posts since beginning and lissa you are such an inspiration. You have such a beautiful soul and are always positive. I had my surgery on 4th march and no real problems here. Tmi moment ... I am constipated all the time and dietician says to take laxatives every four days. I'm sure I'll be ok once I can eat fruit and veggies. I have lost 18 kilos since preop so I'm now 112kg. I still have only told 5 people and I might tell more closer to goal. I'm thinking 70 kgs which feels like it would be impossible. Good wishes to all the preop people and everyone post xxxx

Thankyou.. So far it sounds very similar. Still on purée yuk yuk but only 1 more week to soft food. Trying to have 1.5 liters if water. Haven't thrown up but I do sometimes have 1 or 2 mouthfuls to much and it sits in my chest for a while. So looking forward to losing more and exercise soon ( never thought I'd say that!!!) ????????

Hi everyone, I have been following this thread for a while and just love how supportive and helpful you all are. I live in Sydney and I had a gastric bypass on the 4th march. Is it ok if I go on this site? I haven't found a Aussie bypass forum and u all sound lovely. I started off at 130kg pre op lost 6 kg on optifast and now I'm down to 116kg. I had a 2 week stall and it looks like it is going down again ( cross fingers) hope u all have a great day!!!!????????

That's exactly how I felt!!! My girls are 2 as well and I was more worried about them.. I have had them on my lap for cuddles and they sit beside me. I put a cushion on my stomach just in case they bounce near me. I'm a sahm and never been apart from them. Just think it's going to help them in the long run having a healthy mum and being a good example. Good luck and please keep me posted how u go xx

Finally home yesterday.. Had my surgery on the 4th. I don't have much pain so I don't think I'll take any pain relief anymore ( makes e dizzy). I have a hernia on my right side a small one and dr said he will look at it after I lost the weight. Only real pain I felt was the gas in chest. A lot of walking and burping.. I weighed myself when I got home.. I put on 12 pounds on fluid!!!! How long till u lost that weight? Going to go for a walk today. So funny not even slightly hungry or sick. Hope stays that way. My twins missed me and keep wanting to jump on me. I think that's the most difficult part, not being able to carry them. Good luck all who have had surgery and are about too!!!!!

Arhhhhh!!! I have been so good not cheated once in the last 2 weeks and have lost 16lbs in that 2 weeks. Tonight I are chicken I know I shouldn't of and surgery is in 3 days... Do u think I've stuffed myself up for surgery? I'm back on pre op diet now and won't cheat again... Help!! Freaking out!!!!

Im on the 4th but I'm in Australia and we are about 12 hours ahead in time. Today is Friday 11:37pm to give an example. Not much longer!!!!

I had my 1st dr appointment on 14th February and he scheduled op for the 4th march!! Saw dietician yesterday for 1st time. I already started pre op diet day after seeing dr. No psychologists that's it. I have surgery in I week and see dietician again on 17th march.

I'm getting nervous too!! Mine in in 1 week (4th) but not nervous for me, for my babies. I have just turned 2 year old twin girls and I have never been apart from them. My mum is looking after them while I'm in hospital 3 days. I know they'll be ok just worried as they won't understand.
