I smoked the night before surgery and I smoked maybe once or twice a day after surgery and made sure to take small hits so I didn't cough. I'm almost 10 weeks out now and smoke whenever I feel like and I have had no problems. Did you let your surgeon know you smoke?

I'm sure this will sound very bad to some people (oh well lol) but I did the night I got home from the hospital so 2 days after the surgery. It helped a lot with pains, gas and nausea. I only took maybe 2 hits at a time tho and small ones so I wouldn't cough. Im only 8 weeks out but i healed great and have lost 62 lbs so it didn't do me any bad. Did you stop smoking before surgery and how often did you smoke when you got home daily? Every other day?

Regarding the topic that this thread was for before all the other nonsense lol I have been smoking for years and marijuana actually helps me a lot after surgery for nausea and very surprisingly I do not get the munchies at all! I was scared it would give me the munchies and I would pig out but that hasn't been the case at all. I definitely consider myself lucky it doesn't! Did you stop smoking pre or post-op if so for how long? When did you start back?

I live in Texas and mj is still ilegal here, I am against using it recreational but for using medically if needed. I respect that, I actually do like to hear others point of views as long as they aren't attacking someone else's way of life. Like my personal opinion is I'm against the consumption of alcohol period. Even though it is legal I'm against it. Marijuana is legal here for medicinal purposes (soon to be recreational) and it has improved my quality of life drastically.Did you stop smoking pre or post- op if so for how long? My requirements were Seminar Nutritionist/Psychiatrist Eval Clearance from primary physician Endoscopy Didn't have to do sleep apnea My doctor is Elias Chousleb Psychiatrist I used was Cheri Surloff Did my insurance require a referral from who and for what? What area in Miami are you in and when are you available to go to Costco?

Looking for fellow sleevers in the Miami area or close by. Also if anyone has a membership at Sam's Club, BJ's, or Costco. I really need to get Premier Protein shakes by the bulk...better for my budget. I'm a starving student completing my master's program. Purchasing just by the four pack isn't feasible and I'll be on pre-op diet for another week in a half.
