  1. I was able to get off prilosec, nexium, antiacids, etc, etc, etc. The problem I had before the band has disappeared. I had one problem once...took nexium for 7 days and gone. It has been about 13 months so far. The doctor explained that most of the acids are produced in the lower stomach and do not come up past the band.
  2. I tried it and it did not work. I took it for about six months. Lost a little but the side effects present a problem. I often wondered if it would have been alot cheaper to take laxatives everyday.
  3. Maribella, I too had to pay out of pocket for mine. Well worth it! Dr. Fusco in Melbourne, FL did mine on 4/18/05. Total cost was $15,550 which includes one year of fills and follow up. David
  4. Nope..not a typo. Maybe some was Water weight I guess. I weighed 373 at the doctor's office on 4/8/05. Thanks everyone for all your compliments. Weight has been a problem sice childhood for me. I am sure looking forward to having an egg this coming Monday for breakfast...Yeaahhh! David
