  1. Headed to the hospital now. Excited! OMG here we go.
  2. Who can sleep when my life is changing in less than 12 hours. WOW!
  3. Tomorrow is the big day. I'm nervous but excited but even more nervous. Lol
  4. Shoot me a private message.
  5. Trying to start this off right. A place where I can write whatever whenever. Hope to capture this journey to keep me going for the rest of my life.
  6. If this is what you need to be healthy then it's the right thing to do. I lost my mother to obesity at thrashed of 56 and I have 3 young children and am not going down that road. The closer it gets the more scared I am. I don't believe it is something you will regret and I think those that are against it will see how much happier you will be. That is what I'm tying to stay focused on besides Jesus. I pray everything goes well for you.
  7. So is mine. Trying to get my stuff together. Nervous & excited all at the same time. I have lots of support which is nice. Good luck!
  8. This Wed the 26th is D day. Can't believe it's almost here & getting nervous!
  9. Reading all your posts is making me nervous. I have my pre-admit tests tomorrow. Think I'm nervous because I didn't think this would really happen for me. The idea of being off my meds & loosing this weight makes me very excited but it still feels unbelievable.
  10. Just went to a pre-op class today & the nurse said that if you have to but can't to add miralax to you protein shake/drink and it will help you go. But she also said every 3-4 days may become your new normal. Not much in not much out. Good luck!
  11. Had a bad day. Someone very close to me was telling me how I should & shouldn't eat after surgery. UGH! I know people care but people who have not experienced a weight issue shouldn't be giving out advice. This is NOT the easy way out and I don't need to be told how to do this. I'm different than everyone else. Also I'm a grown woman and make my own choices. Just tired if judgement. Sorry for venting.
  12. The 26th. So we are close.
  13. Hi all. Had my pre-op visit today. Everything went well. I have everything ready for next Wed. Can't believe this is happening. Praise God.
  14. I have my pre-op visit today. Then a 2 hour class on Thursday. Struggling with this pre-op diet. Could use lots of prayers. I can make it through the day then @ night is when I really want to eat. UGH! 1 week from tomorrow I will be in surgery.
  15. I would love to but only if you come. Never made a snow fort before. I have 3 boys & that sounds like the coolest thing ever! We should plan for next year & go make skinny snow angels!
  16. I'm in Tucson & the weather is beautiful but I'm missing winter this year. We didn't have much of one. UGH!
  17. Well guys I put the diet aside to eat out with my family tonight for Valentines. I have to admit it was so yummy! Tomorrow is a new day back on track & I'm gonna try to get a walk in to make up for today. Glad all of you are doing well.
  18. 2.9 lbs down since Wed. Um think I found some motivation for this pre-op diet! Yeah!!!
  19. Took a 20 minute walk @ lunch. Hoping that will help get me through the rest of my day. Very tired. I didn't sleep well & there isn't much to this pre-op diet as far as good goes. Maybe this will help me adjust my sleeping patterns to something more normal. Prayers for all who are having/had surgery today. May the peace of Jesus be with you.
  20. Thank you so much for no judgement & the encouragement. I'm grateful that I've found this forum. Thanks again.
  21. I didn't do well my first day of my pro-op diet. I didn't plan well for my crazy day. UGH! But tomorrow is another day. Also my pre-op diet is not about loosing weight. It's about making my liver smaller. I understand that, that will happen with weight loss. Just had a rough day. Thanks for letting me vent.
  22. So my pre-op diet is two protein shakes a day (breakfast & lunch) then a sensible dinner. Protein & veggies. For now I have a chocolate protein powder my husband picked up @ GNC. It is on the list I got from the dr. For me this has happened so fast. I really enjoy chicken. So I will probably do chicken & steamed veggie or salad. I really want some ice cream but I think I'm feeling so much right now I can't eat. Lol
  23. Well all I think this is for real. Saw the surgeon for the consult today & I'm scheduled for 2/26/14. No pre-op testing or procedures need to be done. He is accepting all of that from 2 years ago. I'm going to be self-pay & get a discount for being a hospital employee. Start my pre-op diet tomorrow. YEAH! This is really really happening. I can't believe it.
  24. Prays for all having surgery this week!
  25. Prayers for all of those having surgery today. I have my consult next week so I'm a newbie, newbie. Nervous & excited all at the same time. Frustrated because not to many people get excited when I tell them. So many are fearful of this surgery & they think it's the easy way out. I just want someone to be genuinely happy & excited that I've made this choice. Really I need prayer that I don't need others approval. Ok done whining. ????
