Insurance paying for protein drinks....
I have like a 10.00 copay for generic prescriptions. Some more and some less. My card has CVS Care mark on it. Sorry I can't tell you more about my coverage. I don't personally take any daily medicines so I'm not very familiar with it. My friend that told me about this has a completely different insurance policy than me and her company approved her as well. I do know this - the three people I know who have the sleeve (including myself) all were approved to receive shakes. So I'm telling everyone I know because those shakes are EXPENSIVE!! One more thing, the Rep I talked to at my prescription company didn't show Premier products listed or anything even remotely similar. However, I thought shoot they'll pay for crutches so why not check this out. Now my husband wants to know what else they will pay for that we never knew about lol.

Yes. I had a choice of premier or opti (?). Had only tried Premier so was unfamiliar with the other name. I received 72 eleven oz. premier shakes. I guess the number of shakes received depends upon prescription. They told me (insure) that I would automatically receive these shakes for the next seven months. I would say the whole process took a couple of days for approval and maybe a week for delivery by Fed Ex. I unfortunately gave them my health insurance info the first time around which of course was denied. Once they received my actual prescription plan info it was approved lol. My Doctor had never heard of this either until now.

Insurance paying for protein drinks....
Just an FYI ... I'm 5 days post op with the sleeve. Everything is going well. I just wanted to share what my friend shared with me about getting your drinks paid for through your insurance. Didn't know if it would go through or not but it did!! I signed up online at Insure Nutrition, gave them my insurance information (make sure it's your prescription plan info) and they did all the work for me. They verified my insurance, contacted my Doctor for the prescription and a week later I received my first shipment!! You all may already know about this but I didn't and I honestly couldn't have been more surprised that it was approved and had no copay!! My drinks were actually delivered a week before my surgery do they were ready for me! They also do liquid supplements but my doctor has me on chewable Flintstones lol so I'm doing those instead. Oh and I'm doing premier chocolate.

Favorite Protein Shakes/Supplements?
I'm using premier chocolate. My favorite!! Loved them before and now even after surgery (January 28). Even better insurance is picking up the tab for them and delivering to my door monthly.

Surgery 2 days ago & hungry?!?
Lol shoot I would have done it the day before Christmas! I believe you are right about head hunger. I thought I was having hunger pains but knowing its stomach acid makes sense.

HELP
Warm broth! Better yet that clear soup from a Japanese restaurant soothed me - minus the floating veggies!

Surgery 2 days ago & hungry?!?
5 days post op. Food is starting to actually smell good but have no desire to eat. Doctor already has me on protein shakes but still struggling to get my liquids in.
