  1. Hello I too, am felling very frustrated and upset since getting the lap band. I am three years out, and I have gained back at least 20 lbs. I feel as if I was not informed enough about the whole process. I lost most of my weight during the fasting before the surgery. After the surgery I only lost another 20 lbs. so I lost 65 lbs. all together. I am about an hour away from the hospital and I am a high school theater and communications teacher. I simply cannot get there for any meetings or support groups. I am at school most nights with my extracurricular activities. I have only had 4 fills this whole time. I had a really bad bout of an overfill and I got so sick that they removed the Fluid and told me to just heal. Then I became so scared of having that happen again, so I think I really messed up the next fill. As a result, I just never get full. I can eat just as much as I ever did, I just avoid certain foods like bread or thick meats. I wish I had been given information about the sleeve and the band, and then maybe I would have made a different decision. I am a stress eater , an emotional eater. I am just feeling so frustrated and confused right now. I have even thought about just having it removed and just going back to Weight Watchers yet again.
