  1. When should I be ready for my first fill. I know everyone is different but i am 5 weeks with the band and i am starting to feel like i can eat more. Am i normal? My doctor said it should be at least 8-10 weeks, huh? I think i am ready now! :paranoid
  2. This topic has been on mind since before i decided to have it done. I have 4 friends that have had the band or gastric, and all of them today are divorced because of extra marital affairs. I guess they just get a big head with all the attention they get from others. Well i hope i never fall in this category. Maybe its because they haven't heard how beautiful they are in a long, long, long time! So a warning to all you married people, work together and always let each other know how much you care!
  3. i too have Aetna and i my dr. had approval within 48 hours. I had to go through all that 3 month stuff as well! well good luck on getting approved!
  4. I was banded Aug. 1, in houston, things couldnt be better. I don'g go back to the dr. for another 3-4 weeks for another check up. I have noticed somewhat of my appetite coming back already, is this normal? I started walking a week after my surgery and this helped with all the gas pains.
  5. Welcome aboard! Today is my 3 week anniversary and i am feeling great, still a lil' tender but no biggie. I am eating soft solids(fish) and things couldnt be better! The discomfort you are feeling should go away in about a week, i found (with other surgeries c-section etc.) that the more i walked the better i felt so on week two i walked a mile everyday. so keep moving!
