I am divorced with five children ages 11-25 and live in Pittsburgh, PA. I found [background=rgb(249,249,249)]BariatricPal surfing for diet programs on my cell phone. Right now I am at my heaviest. It seems that I just let myself go. People always say that I'm pretty and look young but I don't believe it. All I see is a fat, out of shape deformed woman whose body looks really bad. I want and need this surgery so that I may be healthy and around for my grandchildren one day.[/background] I started gaining weight after I found out that my youngest child had Autism and it has been a roller-coaster ride with dieting. I have been dealing with depression and my current weight makes me antisocial. I'm very embarrassed by being fat and don't want to be around family and friends. My big sister last month successful had gastric sleeve surgery and has lost a lot of weight and gained energy and a new positive outlook on life and her future. Her health has even improved. I just pray that this will be successful for me so that I can be a better woman, mother and friend.
