  1. I've been posting this in my threads, but really tried to tackle the size problem for this thread...idiots (like me) who post just to post. Hey all if my cartoon shows then I have figured out how to do it......Get it?????????? Attached Images

  3. Getting banded was one of the best things I have done for myself in years. Practicing the habits that will be forced on you after banding, and once you reach that 'sweet spot', is super wise. I didn't do much change until my 2ed fill. Then my band had a mind of it's own and imposed a swift punishment when I disobeyed (in the form of sliming, PB's and puking). Began to feel like an anorexic until I began to listen to the band. Hey all if my cartoon shows then I have figured out how to do it......Get it??????????
  4. Picture looks great.
  5. PHYL There's a lot of difference in the two photos, not only do you look smaller but you also look younger. Congrads
  6. There are some people in their 70's who just got or are getting this surgery. That's wild, but it is life saving. I have to keep cutting back on my blood pressure meds HEHE patient patients. Sorry to hear you're still waiting. I've started to move over to new sit.....
  7. Hi and welcome. I don't get headaches when something goes down hard. I get an esphagus ach......hurts like hell and I know it is going to come up.
  8. HEHEHE I got a kick out of that cartoon to . Tell me when you want to borrow it, if you can't pick it up from here then I could e-mail it. Hey we need to start a thread for the 60+ jokes and cartoons.... I have some good ones.
  9. Here's my joke for the day......poking fun at us.
  10. WOW we have our own thread.............love it
  11. I'm suppose to have an attachment on this. Just looking to see if it works
  12. figure this is the place to test out my new signature.... that is suppose to be a joke picture........wonder if it is big enough to read???
  13. I'm with you. This is why I went to Mexico for banding. Also I wanted the banding done right away and not wait a year for my insurance to reject me. I understood that the reason for not drinking during or after the meal is to keep the food from leaving the pouch. This thing about Water causing the pouch to stretch is scary. I have drank right after a meal at times. I don't want a stretched pouch!!!! The not drinking before a meal is a real mystery to me.
  14. I hate the burgs where people have to keep grass as a lawn and look like every one else for the sake of 'tidyness'. ESPECIALLY when to do it harms the environment....I'm prejudice to those people.
  15. Racism sucks. I was raised in the 'bad part' of Chicago and was referred to as 'white trash'. My neighbors were different races. I never learned racism because I learned that we all are human....red, white, yellow, brown and black. I learned it because these were my friends. As a teen I moved back to Little Rock Ark. I went to Central High during the tense insane time.. The racism was HORRID. They called me a N... Lover because I spoke out. I absolutely hate racism and it exists all over the world.
  16. I'm new to this thread... looks like we can do some Bush Bashing here. Great. It's going to be wonderful, getting that retard out of office.
  17. I'm very restricted and found out several days ago that I can eat salad!!! Before banding I ate a salad a day and sure is nice to see that I can go back to salads. I avoided large cuts of anything hard (radishes and carrots), but can use the veggie peeler and sort of shred them into the salad. It seems that the biggest transition from preband days is the ability to wolf down food. Also I need to remain aware of how I am eating while talking at table.
  18. It's hard to imagine going through what you did. Sounds very painful. Warm tea or broth helps to settle the stomach and relax it. I would bet what happened to you is that your stomach swelled up a lot. I'd think it would be wise to stay on warm liquids for a few days. That swelling has to go down. Hope things get better.
  19. You couldn't drag me in to get an unfill Cause I am finally losing weight. Also I find that if I am very careful, I don't end up in the PB/slime stage. Hi all you newbies, will be great chatting with you.
  20. Saw my doc and that is what he said....slow wight loss; 4 to 5 pounds a month. Also I need to just eat normal and cut back a bit on the protein. DITTO as above. You're right about scale is, at least, going down not up. Wow, she already took her first steps!!! That rocks.! Love babies.
  21. It seems like the hard stomach and gas pain were gone in about a week for me. I think some people take longer. Hope yours is the short one. It seemed like the healing went real fast. I couldn't have lifted 20 pounds for at least several weeks. I'm sure she is crawling, and in about a month will start walking on her own. They grow up so fast. Maby you could sit on couch and let her crawl up while tugging her. Or sit on floor. This way she's getting some hugs and attention.
  22. Just messing around with my signature. Can you put stuff that will show up, in other places than signature?
  23. My experience has been: The list of foods you cannot eat will increase after the fills. Yes, I cannot eat bread. Crackers work for me as a bread replacement. I have a hard time with eating food that has a lot of roughage. I peal my apples these days. I find the first few bites of food the most important to chew and chew and chew. Good Luck
  24. YOU SHOULDN'T LIFT THE BABY FOR ABOUT A MONTH. hOW MUCH DOES SHE WIEGH? I USED GAS X A LOT. SEEMS LIKE THE GAS WAS AROUND FOR A WEEK OR SO. CAN'T REMEMBER.
