Yes I am female !!!!
Hi there My name is Gaynor, I live in the UK and was banded on 29th Jan 2005. To date I have lost 47pounds, not a great loss but i'm happy with it .I am due to have my 2nd fill tomorrow and am hoping for a little more restriction. There has been some confusion over my gender (not mentioning any names!!) so just for the record I am female, I gather Gaynor is not a name you're familiar with in the states, it is actually a Welsh name, anyhow this website has been incredibly informative and the members have been really supportive, I have some wonderful new friends. Thanks guys and keep on keeping on. Gaynor

Sorry Guys I did mean 47 pounds, you know what its like, its 5.30 pm and time to leave work and you're rushing. By the way where does the father son thing come into the equasion, do you have guys in America called Gaynor?? It made me laugh anyway. Leatha I'm so jealous you got to meet the lead singer of Green Day, he is absolutely gorgeous. Speak to you all soon Gaynor

Green Day Rule
Hi everyone I took my 14 year old son to see Green Day yesterday and they were awesome, apparently it is the biggest venue they have played at in the UK (65000 people). I'm not sure who enjoyed it the most me or my boy. Anyway it was the hottest day in England for years and boy what a difference my 47 lb weight loss made, as we had to do a lot of walking in the heat. I really do love my band, its the best thing I've ever done Gaynor

Hungry while waiting for fill
What do you all do when you are at the stage when you are due a fill (my 2nd is on June 22nd) and you are feeling really hungry. When I am peckish I am trying to pick at the right stuff but I am also thinking "make the most of this" as I hope that I will be feeling a lot more restriction soon. i will be so upset if I put any weight on, or is it normal to gain a little when you are due a fill? I also wonder if it is psycological, am I really hungry? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Scales not moving
Hi there I had exactly the same experience, I lost 39IBS in the first 8 weeks and then stopped losing. At 11 weeks I had my 1st fill and thought this was the answer to my prayers however I did not start losing again for another 2 weeks, then hey presto another 4 pounds off. Dont let it get you down, I convinced myself that I would not lose anymore and started having doubts about the op and whether the band was tight enough, its just one of those things I think we all go through at some stage. Good luck Gaynor
