  1. I had mine done two years ago but currently seeing Smith now to go over the possibility. Hopefully soon since I don't need anything else that most do. Sent from my ASUS_Z00XS using the BariatricPal App
  2. It will be the duodenal switch. I already have the sleeve. But it's a mess. Have you had yours? Sent from my ASUS_Z00XS using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hahaha yay Ro! I am actually going to Adam Smith for revision. Sent from my ASUS_Z00XS using the BariatricPal App
  4. I was sleeved in Feb of 2014 and the lowest I've been was 242. I crept back up and thought.. Hmmm.. Something is not right. No matter what I did. So I scheduled with a surgeon here Fort Worth, TX who is an affiliate of True Results. I just had my EGD done on April 19 and learned that.. I have an enlarged sleeve, 3cm hiatus hernia, and an irritation of the throat from chronic acid reflux. This makes me soo incredibly unhappy as well as the surgeon. He told me that my previous surgeon uses a 40 to determine the sleeve size as his standard. Where as other surgeons use a smaller one. I guess I am venting but also would like to know if anyone else has ever experienced this. I am hoping to have revision surgery to get back on track. 5. Awesome! Fort Worth here, too. Who was your surgeon? Sent from my ASUS_Z00XS using the BariatricPal App
  6. Hi, I had Dr Castro and apparently Dr Le jumped in to assist. How did it go for you? How did your post op go? I'm down to 20lbs and it's been smooth sailing for me. Did you join the support group? It's really great and helpful. Ivy Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App My post op was okay. I wanted to sleep a lot. I had mine back in 2014. I have not lost much since 6 to 8 months after. I am looking into a revision too. Sleeve to Bypass.
  7. How are you doing?? How are you doing??
  8. That is GREAT!! I I had my sleeve 02/24/14 and have since stalled no matter what I do. My acid reflux can stay at bay with Omeprazole but if I miss a day, usually by the second, I'm feeling it. I have an appointment with another surgeon to take a look at my records and see what he can do for me and if i need a revision or if I can be helped in other ways. My mom was sleeved about two months after me and she has stalled as well. She just diagnosed with GERD, I believe.
  9. What was your deciding factor to go from Sleeve to bypass? I still have acid reflux, sometimes it seems worse than before. How much different do you feel NOW vs THEN. Also, how long were you sleeved?
  10. Having someone not be there for you like you were for her, is very upsetting and disheartening. I would say find a new circle of friends but still be her friend. She will see that you are not trying to "One up" her. If you were trying that, you would have done it a long time ago. I some what agree that she does not want you to lose weight. She might feel you will be better at it, progress better and find a better way of life. She asked if you were going to stay the same because she knows SHE did not stay the same. SHE changed.
  11. I understand how you feel with his attitude and the changes he will not make. It is definitely a hard road and to take a step back, hurts just as much. I do not know if this will help but has he watched My 600 Lb Life? Some of those are way more eye opening than you expressing to him.
  12. Has anyone ever had or knew someone that had sleeve and went to bypass???
  13. I was sleeved in 2014 and since then, my progress has not be happening. I work with a lot of people who have seen a bariatric surgeon and their results are awesome!! After reviewing his website more, I saw that he does revision surgery, specifically he does Sleeve to Bypass. Has anyone read up on this, heard of someone else or others that have?? I'm curious to know about the options.
  14. I also went to Dr. Kim and had the VGS done. He has always done inverted and I have NO issues with my sleeve as far as leaks. Now, with the weight loss, I am my own worst enemy.
  15. I do not think I ever had a moment when I thought I was fat. Growing up I was always outside playing, running around, bike riding, and just being a kid. I think it was after I hit the teen years and got into high school, I started with the weight. I was a sophomore in high school and I was wearing a pair of jeans (that I guess were a little tight) and someone told me I had a camel toe. THAT made me self conscience for the rest of the day. Kids are horrible these days. DOWN right horrible. I started with the baggy t-shirts and loose fitting jeans from then on. It wasn't until after I had my kids that I got to my highest.. 290. THEN I was in denial. Making pants fit that I knew I shouldn't be wearing, huffing and puffing just by doing a simple thing as walking around. I made the change in 2014 but sadly, I am not doing well with it and I feel like the fat failure. BLAH!
  16. Has this helped you with on your journey?? I will check it out, too!! Cheesiness is hard to get past when you seem to always find either annoying or funny! LOL
  17. It is hard to believe that no one will come on here and look!! I saw this and came right away!!!! I would LOVE to have something in Tarrant County. DFW is a nice way to say where we are.. but I am FROM Fort Worth!
  18. Actually nothing at all. Trying to get back on track but finding it very hard. Definitely feel the failure.
  19. I am in Fort Worth!! Sleeve 02/24/2014. Definitely need all the help I can get NOW. Feeling like a failure.
  20. Hi everyone!! I am new to the whole surgery myself. I am currently waiting for my insurance to approve the surgery. I will be going through Dr. David Kim. Are there any tips or suggestions?? I am really nervous, anxious and scared but excited!!
