GOOOOAAAAALLLLL!
I did it! Finally hit the elusive 150 lbs! In every diet program I have ever attempted, they asked that I pick a goal weight and I always threw out "150 lbs". I have never, not once, actually made it. The lowest I got was 180 after 3 months of HCG (which, of course, I gained right back) But after the sleeve...in 5 months I have lost 81 pounds and finally saw that 150 number! I am thinking I might try to lose 5-10 more lbs just to get solidly in a "normal" BMI...but if I don't, I am okay with my size 8 jeans, size medium shirts and *150 POUNDS*!!!!

We’re excited to announce a brand new version of our free iOS & Android app!
I did....you have to turn ON notifications, then turn OFF each alert. If you just turn off all notifications, they won't actually stop sending push alerts

XL Coats available in Denver
I have several XL coats available if anyone needs them. A ski coat, "puffy" coat (good for every day winter wear...not snow or frigid temps), a black shell, a hooded coat and a really nice brown coat from Orvis that I am actually pretty sad to lose...super warm, super comfy and way too big This is the only coat I may sell....bought it for $150, am going to ask $40 http://www.orvis.com/orvis_assets/prodimg/9E7KHMcoffee.jpg I will probably donate most or all, but thought I would see if any of you fine people need a smaller coat this winter! And, on that note! I am in search of size medium winter outerwear! While I am loving my weightloss, my pocketbook is screaming at me! I live in Denver, so a good ski coat and shell are required...but I just can't face the $200-$400 price tag!

Help! I turned off push notifications a few days ago..and it's still off, but today my phone is exploding with BP notifications! Sounds and pop ups every time someone responds to something I've participated in. Is there another setting I'm not seeing?

Does anyone have trouble viewing Bariatric Pal on the phone?
And, since the old app doesn't work on kindle, I wouldn't be able to access this thread to see if your link would, in fact, work on that platform

Does anyone have trouble viewing Bariatric Pal on the phone?
I don't think you can use android apps on a kindle. It's a shame you gave up that platform and don't allow the older version to be used

Does anyone have trouble viewing Bariatric Pal on the phone?
Is there an update in the Kindle store? As of yesterday I couldn't use the app without updating, but there wasn't an update available for my Kindle Fire tablet. It freezes on my iPhone 5s....so I took it off.

Some unexpected NSVs have me LOLing in public. You?
Okay...I'll say it! I never expected personal hygiene to be easier! From showering, going potty, grooming....less time, less effort, cleaner. Without going into detail...just hope I'm not the only person who realized being fat had cleanliness issues I wasn't aware of until now!

I don't think I ever believed I actually had bones in that fat body...I now find them fascinating! I sleep on my side and wake up almost every morning with my hip bones aching from all night on the mattress I am constantly messing with my collar bones...haven't really seen them before now and I can't keep my hands off them! Men now flirt with me...I don't guess I ever knew I was missing being flirted with...now I get touches on my shoulder during conversations, eyes looking me up and down, friendly hugs that last longer than they did before...this whole flirting thing is a revalation!

My 1997 size 12 vs. 2014 size 12 jeans (with pic)
I'm one of those people that put on a (and posted a photo of myself in a)size 6 and I agree...there is no way in hell my 155 lb, 45 year old butt would have gotten into a 6 just a few years ago! Vanity sizing and stretchy materials definitely put me there! But the same vanity sizing and stretch had me in 18 and 20's....so I will take it! My clothes that fit well now range from size 6 to size 12 (a work dress that I love!)....it is very confusing!

Coffee
I drink about two mugs of regular, then switch to decaf if I want more. So, both I guess

Got naked, nobody died of shame...
Had my first post sleeve tryst and immediately thought of this thread! It was a revelation to just enjoy and not be constantly thinking about my body!
-
I can't! I can't do it anymore!
I never had to crush pills...but they did require a chewable Vitamin the first few months and recomended Centrum chewable...not great, but not horrible. I switched to regular Centrum about 2-3 months out...much easier! Can you get chewables for the big pills? At least Vitamins? Chew quick and chug Water or cranberry after! Again...not great, but a lot better than crushing regular pills...I wouldn't have been able to do it!

Hate Hate Hate the pop-up ads all over this new version! Also, my notification settings didn't save so I had the bejeezus scared out of me at work when someone replied to a thread I posted on. Though ease of use was updated...so that's nice

Coffee
I have 2-3 cups if coffee each day. NUT gave me the go ahead about 2 months out. Haven't had any problem with it. I did switch from half and half to powdered milk (not coffee mate!) to boost Protein a bit

Postop pain
I had no pain....no gas pain at all and didn't take any of the pain meds they sent me home with. Day after surgery was a little ick (sore in my sternum area and one, short bout with nausea)....after that, nothing! My Surgeon used the On-Q pain pump...maybe that helped...who knows, but I was grateful for the super easy recovery!

You know you lost weight when
* My boobs are now bigger than my belly * I have more clothes to donate than I have to wear * On that note, All of your extra money goes to clothes! * You spend twice as long in the dressing room because you constantly have to swap out clothes for a smaller size...your brain just can't comprehend that you are actually "that size" * FINALLY wearing normal size boots rather than "Wide Calf"!! (Can anyone tell I went shopping yesterday? New boots, Size 6 Jeans [please tell me Kohl's jeans run large...I still can't comprehend this one!], new bras and a HUGE pile of clothes to donate!)
-
Holy Crap!
Linda, 10 was my goal....never in my wildest dreams did I think I would put on a six! My belly looks like silly putty left in the sun, but I'm now okay with it! You WILL get there!
-
Holy Crap!
Thanks! I'm literally in shock!
-
Holy Crap!
Those jeans are size 6!!! Never in my adult life have I put on and zipped up a size 6!!! I now love shopping!! I added a "day before surgery" photo just for grins!

You know you've had WLS when ___________________ ! ! ! ^_^
You can't stop looking at/examining your collar bones, wrists, ankles, ribs and hip bones cause you've never actually knew they existed. Your bras cost less, which is a good thing because your buying them every two months or so You throw away food with little guilt Your stomach and thighs look like melting silly putty and you couldn't care less! Weight loss ads are no longer intriguing, but profoundly annoying. Cameras and mirrors are now your friends
