  1. I'll be with ya! I start my pre op diet the day after you.
  2. I have to get a EGD done Friday, meet with the psych on the 21st, prep appt on the 30th, pre op diet starts the 5th, surgery on the 19th. I'm so excited, and I can't believe how fast time is going. I made all these appointments on 12/26, thinking it all seemed so far away. Only 37 days until I start the new me! ❤️
  3. OMG. YES. I can relate to this on so many levels!
  4. Dang! And people say once you start dropping weight you start to get really cold all the time. Not so bad here in Oklahoma, but you're gonna be a Popsicle Oh gosh, I can only hope. I'm ALWAYS hot. I'm such a hotbox. It's going to be wonderful when I'm complaining about freezing my butt off around everyone else, instead of practically sweating when everyone is shivering. Haha. BUT. one little degree is really damn cold. lol
  5. I'm packing by bags!!! Pack a snow suit! Its cooooold! A low of 1 tonight. One whole degree. F this!
  6. Lots of luck to you, too!!! Looks like I'm in the wrong state. Lol Just move to michigan! Hahaha. Just kidding. It's only good in the summer. ps. The IV is a piece of cake. I promise. And I haaaaaaaate hospital needles.
  7. Barring any insurance stuff, my surgery date is February 19. My surgeon was awesome and since I'm doing my surgery just before my spring break (is it spring break if it's in February?? Ha) he made my surgery appt at my consultation. I have to have a scope done next Friday. But I'm super excited, and have basically told everyone I know. I can't help but want to tell EVERYONE I'm going to be healthier and thinner someday soonish.
  8. I can totally relate with not wanting to tell anyone... But I'm opposite. I could yell it from the mountain tops, and have NO problem with telling just about anyone I'm having this surgery. Mostly because I'm so excited and ready for this journey. And I see it as taking life by the horns, and doing what I need to do to get healthy. It's amazing that almost everyone I tell has someone they know that's has done it, and tell me "good for you, it's going to be amazing!" I've yet to have anyone be a downer. But I think you do what's best for you.
  9. Awesome!!! Good luck!! Where are you having yours at? Thanks!! I live in west michigan, so Dr. Gluck is my surgeon, at Mercy hospital. It's in muskegon, mi. I'm so ready for this journey, I can't wait.
  10. My surgery is February 19. I'm so excited!
