    My journey

I can't stomach the shakes either. If you have a nutrition store near you omega protein sticks are good. 1.6 ounces and 20 grams of protein with 180 calories. Super tender just don't let dry out. Also at Walmart they have new whey protein shots. I believe 42 grams of proteins in a 3.4 ounce shot. Kinda of a thick syrup taste isn't bad I've tried all and I suggest fruit punch or blueberry. I like to do half of each flavor per day so I have variety. Congrats on a successful procedure and good luck on your journey.
  2. Original goal of 250 blown away. I'm now 241 and new goal of 215! My beautiful fiancée and our amazing angel of a nurse Ashley. I get asked all the time of I would do this again. YES!HELL YES! I'm 33 years old and finally living and loving it!

Thank you guys so much. It is amazing. I can't wait to be able to see my surgeon and nurses again. I moved from north Dakota to Arkansas 18 days post op. They've seen pictures and I am signing a release to be shown in their advertising. Thanks again the pre op and post op advice and knowledge from this site has made me a success. You guys are all great.

Yeah, go sweat. Honestly I've tried to do the opposite of what made me fat. I work a lot on explosiveness. I follow a golf workout tho. Google is a great tool and try to switch your routines every 6 weeks or so. Mine changes every other week. food wise I measure everything. We bought a lot of cheap measuring cups and a good food scale. DRINK DRINK DRINK. Seriously I believe this has been a ton of my success.

  7. Any ideas on the time frame. I know I'm not ready yet. However I did order a new callaway driver and I want to try it. Also, can anyone say if it helped their game. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    What size bougie was used?

My surgeon said a 15 mm. I googled and found that it equates to a 36. Very happy so far. I eat maybe 2 oz at a time.
  10. Anyone know if we can take anything for acid and gas. I'm just over two weeks out and I'm taking protonix everyday but it's still really bad.

    Bad acid and gas

Protonix is supposed to be my acid pill I thought. It seems to be only when I wake up. I'm wondering if I could do chewable tums. Gonna call doc today.

    Going back to golf

Thanks for the help. I've never tried Adams, I don't like Taylor made at all tho. I don't like callaway irons tho. Only the xhot 1, if you haven't tried one get to dicks and demo one. Very innovative club. I have went thru the motions SLOWLY. Still a pull inside by my belly button.

    Advice/Suggestions

Could not have said it better than rj. I'm 32, just finished my sleeve 2 weeks today. I happy as can be except for one thing. I had the bypass approved in 01. I walked away due to suggestions by doctors and football coaches. For 12 years I have wanted the surgery. I finally have employment where the surgery was approved again. Bottom line is you have to do what make YOU and YOUR family happy. Include ALL facts when you do pros and cons.

What's are you doing about clothes?

I got lucky and had clothes given to me. I'm sure I'll have to buy down thru the sizes. My doc told me I could save the resets and file under medical.

    I'm sleeved!

So, I finally got it. Surgery was Wednesday 1 -15-14. Went great I was walking that day. I am now on a full liquid diet barely any pain whatsoever. I have lost 32 lbs since Jan 1. So far going great. I will suggest a Bari-bear or a cough buddy stomach pillow. And definitley easy on shoes. I chose my sanooks and they worked great.

    I'm sleeved!

I'm on my couch. I have been since I've got home. Honestly right now I feel kinda guilty. I read others post with troubles and whatnot but I feel great. I'm a huge fan of hobby grade radio control cars. I just ordered a new electric so I'd have something to chase during my walks.
