Hello my name is Bethany Davis, I am 22 years old. I am born and raised in Tucson, AZ. Military brat and wife. I was introduced to bariatricpal.com through my husband, which I will get further into why he introduced me to this site late. In January of 2013 I was pregnant with twins, boy and girl at 21 weeks we miscarried. I have a what my husband and I call a curse; it is call Poly cystic Ovarian Syndrome otherwise known as PCOS. I have had PCOS for as long as I can remember just never knew what it was or the extent of it. I took it hard when loosing the twins, still till this day we have not completely dealt with this issue. We got married January 5th, 2013 right before we miscarried January 17th,2013. We looked toward Fertility help and nothing did any good until I lost some weight. I tried for 5 months to loose weight and when I didn't loose so much as a pound, I knew something was wrong. I turned to my PCP and asked him about alternatives. It was then that my PCP and my aunt had talked to me about WLS. I was skeptical at first then once I looked more and more into it I knew this was my one and only shot at being a mother, and a healthy one at that. I spoke to Jeffery Monash in June, and we set up the 6 months I had to see my PCP as well as other steps prior to surgery, here We learned that Gastric Bypass was the best outcome for me. At first my husband was not fond of me doing WLS, however he grew more excited as I did. I would look at YouTube video's late at night to ensure myself that I was doing the right thing. Once I completed my 6th month pre-op appointment with my PCP I was more excited then anything. I then was scheduled for surgery December 18th, 2013. However, I grew sick with Viral Meningitis November 25th,2013 and was hospitalized for a week missing thanksgiving. Then was given home health care and was placed on acyclovir an Anti-Viral medication for 10 days. Once I started taking these medications I grew sick once more this time with Acute Renal Failure, my kidneys shut down on me December 13th, 2013 was hospitalized for another week. This made my Dr. post-pone my surgery a month to ensure my kidneys were where they need to be. Now, It is the new year and I am so excited I have 11 days from this post till surgery. My husband showed me this site not to make me have surgery to encourage me that we will be parents again, and there was still hope. So to my husband I love you and thanks for all your help and understanding.

I am having this surgery to become a mother again, to be a better healthier wife, to enjoy my marriage, and to make myself not depressed anymore.
