  1. I have read so many of these post's and I say, ok this is for me and then I talk myself out of it by saying reguardless I still have to change my habits and do weight loss on my own but I can't do it. My main question to you all is, If Im bingy now, if I had the lap band will I still want to binge or will it help me to be full and not want to eat. I know you can still overeat and make the lapband useless. I don't know about controling my cravings.. any help --:help:
  2. Hi, This is where I am struggling too. I keep reading these fantastic posts and then I decide I want to do it but when I think real hard about it I think, ok I am going to have to still change my habits no matter what. So I sit and think, well if im going to have to change my habits then why can't I change them now and do this on my own w/o surgery. I just think is it a mind over matter deal and honestly I know it is. I am on the fence post also. I am leaning to banding for the extra help, but I will miss that big prime rib steak I love so much ..I love to party and I party a lot with my friends and family -- I know I can still enjoy the relationships but I also need to tell myself that food does not run my social life. A friend once told me -- Eat to live, not live to eat. I THINK IF YOU MAKE UP YOUR MIND AND STICK WITH IT AT 100 % NO MATTER YOUR CHOICE YOU CAN BE SUCCESFULL -- (obviously I still need to make up my mind) good luck --
  3. That helps, thank you . Can you feel you have the band on or any part of the band parts ? I read about the chance of death, whats that all about ? im sure its with any surgery but this seems so minor in a way.
  4. Hi, I have a question or two for you all. I am really struggling with doing this, I have told myself over and over again if I do this I will have to make changes to my eating and abide by those. Well if I have to do it then why can't I do it now? I feel I will not have the will power to change later. Does the band make it so that im really full and have no desire to eat? Also when I dont eat enough I get weak. Has anyone had that problem after banding. Im afraid I won't have any strenth. 335 6' 2" male
