  1. When you eat (puréed for me right now) and you feel the restriction, do you stop eating OR do you wait a while and continue. I am never hungry so I'm trying to understand if my goal is to finish my 1/4 cup or stop when the restriction kicks in. Thanks.
  2. Prayers for today's sleepers!
  3. @scarlett I could have written the first half of your post. I'm 5 days post op and can't wait to see the surgery benefits.
  4. Meamo, I was feeling the same. Still have struggles. I used to drink a lot of Water before surgery and now I cramp in my chest when drinking it. I find that diluting Isopure in the water helps. I use maybe 1/8 isopure zero and 7/8 water. I cannot get down the full strength isopure yet. It will get better,
  5. I'm feeling the same thing. It is significantly better 4 days out. It happens with Water, but if I add Isopure to the water, it's better. Also it's not so bad with milk and really weak broth. I thought it was just me but I did a search in forums for chest pains and many vets complained about this. I hope you feel better soon. I was sleeved on the 23 too.
  6. Please add me to 12/23. The day of surgery and following day were awful. Chest pain, gas, groggy, loopy, lots of buyers remorse. Now 4 days post op and feeling pretty good. Good luck to all of us.
  7. Holy cr*p! I'm getting sleeved tomorrow! Merry Christmas to me. I'm about to start living a skinny life. Sending prayers and positive vibes to all getting sleeved this week.
  8. Yeah us! I'm nervous and excited. Can't wait to sit on the happily-sleeved-and-recovering-smoothly bench!
  9. Which clear protein drinks are the post sleevers enjoying? I bought regular shakes and just saw I'll need clear liquids for a while. Silly me but glad I caught it now.
  10. Good luck to you and Sns513 and all others having surgery today!!
  11. Hi sleevers! I'm Raine. I just joined the site. I've been reading your posts for about a month. so helpful. My surgery is on 12/23 and I'm freaking happy and freaking out. I cannot believe I am here. So happy to be a December Sleever. I prayed for a Dec. date and got it.
  12. @Healthbound. Thanks for the idea. I have a blender and blendstick. I may try blending down a thicker soup. @Kat. I'll be sleeved early next week and am checking out clear Protein drinks. How much isopure are you able to drink in a day?
  13. Such a good story. Congratulations on being sleeved. I hope you have a speedy and pain free recovery.
  14. Didn't know about the swallow test AFTER surgery. It sucked before surgery. I can't even imagine having to do it with my new stomach. @Raerae CONGRTULATIONS! I know you must be happy and anxious. I think a shorter wait time til surgery is the best thing. I cannot imagine how some of the other sleevers waited for months for the date to arrive. I'm stressing out and it's only 3 days away!
  15. Thanks so much you guys. I'm 3 days away. There are so many people who post about their experiences and so many more like me (Molly and Betty -- hi guys) who soak up all of the information. You're all a blessing! I will continue to post updates and will not hesitate to ask questions.
  16. I hope everything went well today! Keep us posted.
  17. Jumping into this forum finally. Surgery is Monday 12/23. I just got my date on Monday so everything is moving fast. So happy to be getting sleeved in 2013!
  18. Wishing you the very, very best. My surgery is on Monday and I cannot imagine how I will feel the night before.
  19. Hello everyone, This is my first post. My name is Raine. I've been lurking and reading and reading some more. I've been approved for surgery using the tips you put out there. My surgery is scheduled for Monday 12/23 and will be an awesome Christmas present. I'm nervous, happy, freaking out and ready. I just wanted to stop by, say hello and tell each of you thank you. I'll be reaching out and asking for help as the process continues. I'm really excited about 2-14. -Raine
