  1. I hear about this V.G. after band removal and I am very curious as to what it is. I had my band out in Aug 05 and banded again in Jan06, I was never told about this V.G.
  2. Thank you all for the great ideas, I love the bean and meat idea, sounds yummy. I had the stomach flu for the past 2 days, just got back to work so I have not had a chance to try any. I will give them a try next week though, after I grocery shop.
  3. I thought I was lactose intolerant, but I can not have eggs or mayo either. I am okay with some meats, I just have the hardest time with breakfast because I can not imagine eating a piece of meat for breakfast. Someone at my job suggested the lactaid milk which I have had and it is okay sometimes. I want to eat 3 times a day and get 20grms of protein each time. I would love to hear ideas of what others are eating as well.
  4. Thank you gentlespirit. Where can I get the protein powder and does it really have no taste? I would love to make smoothies but I can not choke down protein powder mixed in anything.
  5. Hello, I am having a hard time with this food thing. I was banded on Jan 16,2006 (second band) and have only lost 30 lbs from that surgery. I am trying to eat the small 3 meals a day but I am having a hard time with the protein because I have no stomach tolerance for alot of foods (cheese, milk, eggs). I would just love ideas. Thank you for any help!!
  6. I am very curious about this as well. I tried to do both, 3 meals and the 6 meals I must be doing something wrong because I am not having great success with either. Right now I am trying to just do liquids, not having great success.
  7. No big deal. My doctor thinks I busted a surture when I picked up my son. (Probably too soon). After 4 weeks I could not eat anything without pain and could not drink water at all. I had to go to the emergency room and get rehydrated. They put a scope down my throat and the hole to get anything down was the size of a ball point pen. They took it out and then 5 mos later I had it put back in and I am doing ok, just no weight loss.
  8. I was banded Jan 16, 2006 and I have lost 24lbs . I am very frustrated with how slow this is going. This is my second band. My first banding was July 18, 2005. I have lost 53lbs all together, but it has been slow going!! Oh yeah, I have had three fill, I am at 2.6cc on a 4cc band. I have another fill scheduled for June 6th, I can not wait, I hope this is the ONE!!
  9. I am so excited, this went so fast for me!! I am a little nervous, but very excited!!! 5 Days to go and I am banded fo life!! This site is so informative I really enjoy reading the post!! Well wish me luck and I will be back !! Janette
  10. I've made my decision, and I am going for it! My sister-in-law is Bandmesoon. We are going to do this together!!!!! NOW I AM SO EXCITED! Here is my pic
  11. My sister-in-law "Bandmesoon" referred me to this site. I too hope to be banded soon!!! However I desperatley need some info on a few things. 1. Does anyone know if I can do this surgery if I was diagnosed with esophagus ulcers 9 months ago? I took medicine for 1 week to heal them and have not been on medicine since, and have not had a problem. 2. I had my thyroid burned with Radioactive Iodine a year ago. I currently take Synthroid, should this be a problem? Thank you so much, hefftynetty <!-- / message -->
