  1. Thank God and Dr. Cavazos for the Gastric Sleeve!! But I wish I could get rid of this loose skin a bit quicker. :-) Good luck everyone, and hang in there!!!
  2. I don't really measure. I just eat non-fried Protein first (usually chicken, sometimes beef pork or turkey), then a cooked veggie (green Beans carrots, never corn :-(. And then I sometimes eat a bit of mashed sweet potatoes or something. It's whatever my family is eating, just much smaller portions. Using a smaller plate really helps. It took a little while to learn how much to eat. For a while i as just filling up on protein. I too have eaten a slice of pizza once or twice. But instead of pepperoni and black olives...times 3 or 4. I eat one slice of chicken pizza. Yum! I'm still scared to add some new things. I've heard bad things about salads too soon...working up the courage. Good luck to all!!
  3. That's exactly why I've kept it to myself. People don't understand what it's like and how hard it is. The sleeve is a tool...and it's been a wonderful tool for me. Down almost 50 lbs in just under 2 months. Can't get that any other way that I know of. :-)
  4. I only told those I had to. As far as taking off work, it was just PTO, I didn't tell anyone why I was taking it. And as far as losing the weight...I tell them I'm eating healthier and less...both true. :-)
