  1. I have surgery Tuesday. I worry after surgery I will not be able to eat the things I enjoy again in moderation. Ready for new life but don't want to never be able to eat them again. ( pizza, steak, bread). Please chime in and let me know how your diet as progressed with time. I like the restriction but still want to enjoy some things.
  2. I have high cholesterol. My goal weight is 145lbs. I am at 199 now. My doctor said it would be the right surgery for me. I would have great results. I am a nurse and teach about good health with my patients but I'm not healthy myself. I have tried diets but never do well. I eat mostly healthy but binge when I'm hormonal. I need restriction.
  3. I wrote this in another area also but not getting a lot of feed back. Has anyone had a hard time maintaining there weight? Has anyone had the stomach spasms that I have read about? How bad are they and how long do they last? I only have 50-60 lbs to lose. How does the restriction feel? Is it hard to eat or just reminds you that you are full? I am really nervous. Surgery in two weeks.
  4. I am feeling the same anxiety you are. I have surgery In two weeks. Scared of complications and malnutrition. Any advise would help. I need to lose only 50-60 lbs. I really want to be healthy but scared of dying and leaving my kids.
  5. I am having surgery in December. I am very scared of the malnutrition part of it. I am a nurse and probably just paranoid. I have read a lot of post. Wondering about the stomach spasms I read about. How long they last and how painful they are? I also wondered about if anyone having problems getting to thin and cant keep there weight stable. Is the restriction hard to get use to ? Really nervous. Please respond if you have insight to these questions. Thanks
