    Almost amonth after

Hi Virgo63, I am 51 and anticipating gastric sleeve surgery in May sometime. I will find out more next week about the actual date. Wow! down to a size 20 already, that's great! A friend of my said that while she was in the losing phase she would get clothes at Goodwill, and then exchange them for the next size smaller until she reached her stable weight, I thought I would try that too. I can't wait to be able to buy smaller sized garments, I haven't bought clothes in years! Thanks for telling us about the bitchy mood, I already feel like a bitch sometimes now, I hope it doesn't get too bad post-op! The one thing I really want to get someday is a sexy push-up bra! and maybe a little black dress. Hope things continue to go well for you. gosherrie

A Whole Year Of Changes - Surgiversary!

Bunny, Thanks for your story! I am anticipating vsg this spring, I'm in that long pre-op stage. I too have a lot of medical issues. I was told I needed to lose weight before I could have a kidney transplant. After reading your story I feel more hopeful than ever! There are so many things I would like to do and can't right but now I am looking forward to more energy and less pain. I have been questioning myself if I should do it or not, and I know I really need to do it. Thanks again for sharing your story it gives me a lot of hope!

Do I Really Want To Do This?

Thanks for giving me some great new ways of thinking about getting vsg. What have I got to lose (except weight) I've tried all forms of dieting and also have a whole library of diet books, I am going to look at this as a tool to help me completely change my life! I still have awhile before I can schedule my procedure, this will give me a chance to change my thinking about food. Thanks for the support, I needed it!

Do I Really Want To Do This?

I am in the beginning stages of my pre-op requirements, my biggest fear is a fear of failure. I am afraid that I will not be able to follow the post-op diet. I am an emotional eater, and a night time eater. I need to lose weight to remain on a kidney transplant list. Any advice?
