  4. Hi all, I am getting sleeved on 1/10/14!!! I am so excited and a tad scared. I am looking forward to starting a new way of living. Well, I've already started but this will be a big jump start! I am a 44 year old mom who lives in MA with my husband of 18 years and my son who is 17 and a senior in HS. I have many medical conditions, not the least of which is Parkinson's Disease (diag 2004 at age 35). I am hopeful that this will help me finally lose the weight and keep it off so I can keep on MOVING!! For the first time in my life I LOVE exercise...I just can't do much right now because of arthritic knees and bulging disk in back and general all over stiffness from the PD. Losing weight may not help with the stiffness but I am certain it will alleviate some of my pain in my knees and back. Also, I am diabetic (just diagnosed two months ago) so I am hoping to eradicate that pretty fast. Been dealing with numbness & tingling in my hands and feet....YUCK!! not fun. I know I have to put the work in and I intend to do so but I have never been so excited about living a healthy lifestyle!!! I can't wait to start LIVING!!! Hope everyone has a successful surgery!!! Hugs from MA!! Janice
